Please see the drawing tutorial in the video below

You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below

    Step 1

Start by drawing a circle. This will form the duck’s head.

    Step 2

Extend a long, curved line from the bottom of the circle to form the duckling’s neck, chest, and belly. Extend a shorter curved line from the circle to form the nape.

    Step 3

Use a series of curved lines to outline the duckling’s wings. Notice how the top of the wing consists of a single curve, while the bottom of the wing is a scalloped pattern of connected “U” shaped lines. Also note that the wing is not fully enclosed where it attaches to the body.

    Step 4

Detail the wing with a feather texture by drawing a series of connected “U” shaped lines. Then, draw the tail with a long curved line and a few short curves, completely enclosing the duck’s body.

    Step 5

Draw the beak using curved lines. Notice the bulge at the tip of the beak and how the top and bottom of the beak overlap. Enclose a curved triangle on the lower part of the beak to indicate an open mouth.

    Step 6

Delete the guide lines from the mine.

    Step 7

Draw baby propeller. Use parallel curved lines to draw the legs, then outline a “W” shape at the bottom to enclose the toes. Draw a curved line between each toe to represent the membrane that helps the duck swim.

    Step 8

Use curved lines to outline the remaining leg and foot. Notice the overlap of the lines at the flex of the ankle and the line separating the individual toes.

    Step 9

Detail your duckling. Draw a small oval on the beak to indicate the nostril. Draw a large circle for the eye, with a small oval inside. Shade between the two sections and draw short curved lines on top of the eyes to represent the lashes. Draw a curved, pointed shape above the eyes for the eyebrows, and draw a plume of feathers on top of the head using a series of short curved lines that meet at sharp points. Remove guide lines as necessary. Finally, detail the body with hatches at the neck and side of the wings.

    Step 10

Color your duck. Many are depicted in bright yellow, as in our example. However, ducklings can also be white, gray, brown, black, spotted or striped.

You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below

    Step 1

Start by drawing a circle. This will form the head of the duck.

    Step 2

Draw a long curved line extending down from the circle. This will form the back of the duck’s neck.

    Step 3

Draw another long, curved line extending from the head down to outline the front of the neck.

    Step 4

Draw a large oval at the base of the neck. This outlines the wings of the duck.

    Step 5

Starting from the outline of the wing, draw a series of curved lines to detail the feathers of the wing. For the wing tips, allow the lines to extend through the oval and meet at sharp points. At the bottom of the wings, the feathers will be shorter and more rounded, using “U” shaped lines.

    Step 6

Erase the guide lines around the wing.

    Step 7

Using a series of interconnected curved lines, extend more feathers over the tips of the wings. This will form the tail of the duck.

    Step 8

Add a layer of fluff to the duck’s chest using short, curved lines connecting the serration points facing down.

    Step 9

Seal the duck’s body by drawing a long, curved line from the breast to the tail of the duck. Add feather detail below the wings using short, curved, join lines.

    Step 10

From this tuft, start the legs by drawing two short and curved lines.

    Step 11

Use a series of “U” shaped lines to draw the feet. Extend one toe to the back of your foot in a “U” shape and some toes facing forward.

    Step 12

Draw another plume of feathers using short, curved lines that meet at jagged points. Extend two short and curved lines down from the bun.

    Step 13

Draw the second foot in the same way as the first, by joining and overlapping some “U” shaped lines.

    Step 14

Draw the beak. Extend a curved line from the face and enclose an irregular shape. Draw a small oval in the figure to form the nostril.

    Step 15

Draw a curved line from the bottom of the beak to its side, enclosing the shape of the lower beak. Draw a curved line inside the lower beak to give details to the mouth.

    Step 16

Draw the tufts of hair extending from the top and back of the head using short, curved lines that follow the jagged points.

    Step 17

Remove guide lines from the top.

    Step 18

Draw a large circle to form the eye. In the eye, draw a smaller circle and a small circle within the smaller circle. Shade between the innermost circles to form the pupil. Lengthen eyelashes from the eyes using short and curved lines. Draw a curved shape above the eye to form the eyebrow.

    Step 19

Add feather details to the head, neck, belly and wings using short, curved lines.

    Step 20

Color the duck. Ducks come in many colors – ducklings are usually yellow. Adult ducks can be solid white or speckled with white, brown, black, and even green.

    Step 1

Start with the duck’s bill. It looks like a long thin triangle on an angle.

    Step 2

Continue the top line of the back triangle to make the top of the head. Curl it up and then back down, like a boomerang. Draw a small eye just to the left of the top bump of the head. Then continue the lower triangular line back to form a short neckline.

    Step 3

Curve the neck down and to the right to form the abdomen. Continue the first line down to start the following line.

    Step 4

Starting at the end of that line draw wings. It starts wide, curves to the side and goes to a sharp point. Continue the straight line back to the left and curl up and down the top part of the wing.

    Step 5

Now continue with the belly line to draw the buttocks. Turn the line upside down and draw a short pointed tail right behind the top of the wing. Add a webbed foot to the bottom of the abdominal tract.

    Step 6

Add another long, thin foot right above the first foot.
