How to draw a husky puppy step by step

Please see the drawing tutorial in the video below

You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below

    Step 1

Start by drawing a circle to outline the husky’s head.

    Step 2

Draw an irregular pea shape below the head. This will form the husky’s body.

    Step 3

Connect the head and body with a series of short, curved, connected lines. The lines must meet at opposing points to resemble a shaggy coat.

    Step 4

Start sketching the Husky’s face. For each ear, extend two curved lines upwards to meet overhead, enclosing the curved triangles. For the muzzle, start with a large “C” shaped line that cuts across the face. Then draw a curved line upwards from the muzzle to meet the ears.

    Step 5

Draw the front legs. For each leg, extend two downward curves. Notice how the curves of the line represent the knees and ankles. Then connect the lines, using small “U” shaped lines to represent the toes.

    Step 6

Draw the following legs. For each leg, extend a set of downward curves from the body. Notice that on the proximal leg, the lines have an extreme curvilinear curvature above to indicate the shape of the thigh and ankle. Connect the foot lines at the bottom using a series of short, “U” shaped curves to represent the toes.

    Step 7

Erase the guide lines from the head, torso and legs, leaving a clear line for your Husky.

    Step 8

Add details for hoarseness. Draw a curved triangle within the confines of the proximal ear. Distinguish the husky’s lighter side and lower back from the darker back using a series of interconnected curves. The lines must meet at jagged points to indicate feathers. Notice the line down the nose and shoulders. Then draw the tail. Use a series of curved and overlapping lines to outline the curly tail.

    Step 9

Add details to the Husky’s face. Draw an oval within an oval to form each eye. Then draw a small circle inside the inner oval and shade between the shapes. Draw a curved line above each eye to indicate the eyebrows. For the nose, draw a rounded, upside-down triangle. Use curved lines to outline the mouth.

    Step 10

Color your Husky. Huskies are usually gray and white, but they also come in brown and black.

You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below

    Step 1

Draw an irregular circle to outline the shape of the dog’s head.

Emphasize both sides of its face when drawing the head to form chubby cheeks. This will definitely make your dog look more adorable!

Make sure that the outline of your dog’s face is drawn in the upper part of the paper. This ensures that there will be enough space at the bottom for its body.

    Step 2

Draw the outline of the dog’s body just below its head. As you can see in the illustration, its body is positioned to the side because the dog is looking towards its left side.

You can choose to follow the figure in the illustration exactly or position the dog any way you like!

    Step 3

Draw a long and narrow rectangle across the dog’s neck to create the collar. Don’t forget to embellish the collar with a dangling bauble at the bottom!

Feel free to style and design the collar any way you want! You can add textures on the collar itself or customize the ornament that hangs down from the collar.

    Step 4

Draw the dog’s front paw with a paw just below its chest. Don’t forget to add three toes on each foot!

You can create the feet by drawing separate curves to form the toes.

    Step 5

Now that we have successfully drawn the dog’s front paws, it’s time to draw the front paws at the back to complete the set of legs.

Create flexed hind legs by drawing a curved line towards the bottom of the dog’s back. Then, draw a foot with three toes just below the foot.

Since the dog is facing sideways, only one hind leg can be seen as shown in the illustration.

    Step 6

Shape your dog’s tail by drawing a narrow, curved line with a tapered end. Draw the outline of the tail upwards to make your dog appear happy and interested.

In the illustration we drew a pointed tail, but you can certainly draw a hairy tail or any shape or form of tail you like.

    Step 7

Continue by drawing an ear on each side of the dog’s face. We think large drooping or folded ears look best, as shown in the illustration.

However, don’t hesitate to draw the ear any way you want, whether it’s standing upright or cropped.

Remember, the texture of a dog’s ears largely depends on the breed and the emotions they’re feeling.

    Step 8

On the bottom part of the face, draw an upside down triangle to outline the dog’s nose.

Then, draw two curved lines upwards connecting to create the lip line. Now, to structure the mouth, draw a V-shaped curve just below the lips. Don’t forget to add a curve inside the mouth to create the tongue!

    Step 9

Complete your drawing by perfecting your dog’s facial features.

Draw two vertical ovals above its nose to outline the eyes. Then draw two small circles inside the eyes. Shade the entire eye except for the small circles.

These two little circles with no ghosting will act as the “glitters” in your dog’s eyes, adding a more dramatic effect to his facial expressions.

Now comes the most fun part — choose and color your dog drawing!

The dog’s coat has 4 basic colors: black, white, brown and red. However, these primary colors exist in a variety of shades, so so does the dog’s coat color.

This gives you many color options to choose from when coloring your dog drawing.

Make sure that the outline of your dog’s face is drawn in the upper portion of the paper. This ensures that there will be sufficient space at the bottom for its body.

    Step 2

    — Outline the Dog’s Head and Body

Draw an outline of the dog’s body right underneath its head. As you can see in the illustration, its body is positioned sideways because the dog is looking at its left side.

You can opt to follow the drawing in the illustration exactly how it is or position the dog any way you like!

    Step 3

    — Put a Collar on the Dog’s Neck

Draw a long, narrow rectangular shape across the dog’s neck to create a collar. Don’t forget to adorn the collar with a jewelry dangling at the bottom!

Feel free to style and design the collar any way you want! You can add patterns on the collar itself, or customize the ornament hanging down from the collar.

    Step 4

    — Draw the Dog’s Front Legs

Draw the dog’s front legs with a paw right below its chest. Don’t forget to add three toes on each paw!

You can create the paws by simply drawing separate curved lines to form the toes.

    Step 5

    — Next, Draw the Dog’s Hind Legs

Now that we have successfully drawn the dog’s front legs, it’s time to draw the ones at the back to complete its set of legs.

Create a bent hind leg by drawing a curved facing towards the bottom part of the dog’s back. Afterwards, draw a paw with three toes right underneath the leg.

Since the dog is facing sideways, only one hind leg should be visible, as shown in the illustration.

    Step 6

    — Afterwards, Draw the Dog’s Tail

Form the tail of your dog by drawing a curved, narrow line with a tapered end. Draw the outline of the tail upward to make your dog seem happy and excited.

In the illustration, we drew a pointed tail, but you can definitely draw a furry tail or any shape or form of tail you prefer.

    Step 7

    — Then, Draw a Pair of Dog Ears

Continue by drawing an ear on each side of the dog’s face. We think droopy or folded huge ears would look best, as shown in the illustration.

However, don’t hesitate to draw the ears however you want, whether it’s standing upright or cropped.

Remember, the structure of the dog’s ears greatly depends on its breed and the emotion it is feeling.

    Step 8

    — Now, Draw the Nose and the Mouth

On the bottom portion of the face, draw an upside down triangle shape to outline the dog’s nose.

Then, draw two connected upward curved lines to create the lips. Now, to structure the mouth, draw a curved V-shaped line right underneath the lips. Don’t forget to add a curved line inside the mouth to create the tongue!

    Step 9

    — Draw the Eyes to Complete the Drawing

Finish your drawing by completing your dog’s facial features.

Draw two upright oval shapes above its nose to outline the eyes. Then, draw two tiny circles inside the eyes. Shade the entire eyes except the tiny circles.

These two unshaded small circles will serve as the “glimmer” in your dog’s eyes, adding a more dramatic effect to its facial expression.

Now, it’s time for the most exciting part—choosing the colors and coloring your dog drawing!

The coat of a dog comes in four primary colors: black, white, brown, and red. However, these primary colors exist in various shades, thus so can the color of a dog’s coat.

This gives you a wide range of color options to choose from when coloring your dog drawing.

How to draw a cute Puppy Step by Step

Please see the drawing tutorial in the video below

You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below

    Step 1

For the first step, here is my version, how I changed the normal puppy into a cute puppy version. As I said in the cute bunnies tutorial, puppies are also cute in reality, so it’s just an easier drawing.

    Step 2

Maybe dogs when grown up are not so cute, or beautiful, but when they are puppies, they are really cute, which species is not there. Types of dogs really are many, but here are some examples for you. 🙂

    Step 3

Here are some pose examples for you guys! Puppies are so cute, never mind what they do, so it’s just some examples. If you watch videos of puppies or real puppies, they will do a lot of things and pose when they are really cute, so you can come across a lot of inspiration about them.

    Step 4

And for the last step, here are some examples of puppy emotions. They are always having fun, so most of the time, if they are emotional, they are always playful and playful.

    Step 5

To start drawing the puppy, the first step is to draw the puppy’s baselines. It will be of great help in the future.

    Step 6

So let’s get it started! Draw the base shape of the puppy’s head and ears. And now, after that, draw the basic form of the eyes.

    Step 7

The next step is the basic form of the nose and mouth. Now draw the bottom of the mouth, and some lines for the ears as well.

    Step 8

Complete the eye part with the pupil, and complete the ear part. Then draw the base form of the tongue.

    Step 9

Fluffy part! Draw fur lines on the puppy’s head. And finish the tongue, and draw some small lines on his/her head.

    Step 10

And here is the finished step of the puppy head drawing, paint patches of color on her/his fur. In this tutorial, the main puppy is a German Shepherd, so its color patches will be black.

    Step 11

And here we are in the second part of the tutorial, drawing the base form of the puppy’s body.

    Step 12

Now, the next step is the lines, what separates the body parts from each other, such as the legs from the main body.

    Step 13

Draw the toes, and the small lines of the main body and legs too. And now, complete the lines of the base form with some small lines.

    Step 14

And of course, cute little pups also have little paws, these are always important, when you draw cute little animals. 😉

    Step 15

As above, here we also need to draw the matching arrays. This is the final part of the puppy drawing.

    Step 16

And now this is your cute puppy, and then the only thing, what you need to do, color her/him! Well done guys!
