    Step 1.

    Start by drawing some long vertical lines. These lines will form the main stem of the corn plant. Make them different heights to create a more natural look.

    Step 2.

    On each stem, add curved lines to represent leaves. Corn leaves are long and narrow, slightly curved. Draw these lines going out from both sides of the trunk.

    Step 3.

    Draw long, thin shapes around the top of the stem to represent the husks. These shapes should be slightly curved and tapered at the end. You can make them overlap each other for a realistic effect.

    Step 4.

    Add oval or oblong shapes on the stalks to represent ears of corn. Place them at different heights along the trunk. You can show some parts hidden behind the husk for depth.

    Step 5.

    Add some lines or details to the ear to represent the nucleus. The corn kernels are arranged in neat rows so you can draw lines parallel to the long axis of the corn.

    Step 6.

    Add detail to the leaves by drawing parallel lines to represent veins. This will give your corn stalks a more realistic and textured look.

    Step 7.

    Draw a horizontal line at the bottom to represent the ground. You can also add some shadow around the base of the tree trunks to give them a background and add depth.
    Finally, color the drawing. You can use green and pink.

    Step 1

    Start by drawing a long, curved line, like an incomplete letter “C.” This will form the corn husks or leaf parts.

    Step 2

    Outline the outer edge of the opposite husk with two overlapping curves.

    Step 3

    Continue sketching the leaf sheath. Use a long and curved line to enclose a teardrop-like shape next to the original line. Draw a curved line on the opposite husk using a series of curved, interconnected lines. Notice the downward point of the leaf.

    Step 4

    Start outlining the corn on its core. First, draw a curved line extending from the first part of the husk, forming a “V” shape where the husk splits. Then, use a series of short, curved lines that join together to form the glutinous corn kernels.

    Step 5

    Continue drawing short, curved, connecting lines on the opposite side of the cob. Continue until the elongated shape of the cob is wrapped.

    Step 6

    Finish the husk by drawing a curved line from the cob to the top of the leaf. Draw the cut stalk at the bottom of the cob using a short, curved line around a narrow shape.

    Step 7

    Detailing the husk using curves of different lengths. These lines should originate from the cut stem, the bent parts of the leaves, and the interior of the husk near the cob.

    Step 8

    It’s ears with eyes! It’s an ear of corn. Draw two circles inside the cob to represent the eyes. In each eye, draw a smaller circle to form the pupil and a small circle to give the eye sparkle. Shade the pupil. Draw a short, thick curved line above each eye to represent the eyebrows and a “U” shaped line to form the mouth. Place a small dot at each end of the mouth.

    Step 9

    Finally, detail the cob with the corn kernels. Do this by drawing small “C” shaped lines around the cob. Note that a kernel is strategically placed to form the nose.

    Step 10

    Color your cob. Most corn is yellow, white, or a combination of those colors, but Indian corn can come in almost any color of the rainbow, including red, brown, blue, and green.
