You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below

    Step 1.

Draw the head, body and tail
Draw a large potato shape for the body. Add curves that meet at a point to make the tail. Add a shape for the head and another curve below the head for the lower jaw.

    Step 2.

    Adding Peaks and Horns
Complete the top shapes by adding horns: two long at the top of the head and one shorter at the tip of the snout. Connect the jaw to the body with a neckline. On the top of the head, draw a bumpy oval line for the crest.

    Step 3.

    Draw legs
Draw a fat pear shape for the shoulders and upper leg, an upside down egg shape for the lower leg, and a shape for the feet. Outline a larger egg shape for the thighs, a rounded rectangle below for the shins, and a shape for the feet.

    Step 4.

    Add face and legs
Draw a curve in front of the front foot for the lower front foot on the far side of the Triceratops and place a horizontal pear shape below it for the foot. Draw another line behind the hind leg for the shin and foot. Most of this leg will be hidden behind the torso and the legs are closer. Create a boomerang that overlaps the larger point for the eyebrow and draw an oval just below it for the eye. Add another oval below the front spike to make the nostrils. Draw two overlapping triangles at the end of the muzzle to make the beak. Complete the face with detailed lines around the mouth, nose and eyes.

    Step 5.

    More skin features
Draw a line from the top of the head to the top of the crest. Add some wavy lines around the edge of the vertex for more detail. Add lines in the legs and tail to show the muscles. The lines on the neck and abdomen will show the folds in the skin. Don’t forget to draw toenails on the feet.

    Step 6.

    Add the final touches
Draw on the pencil lines that you want to keep with a marker. Erase excess pencil lines and Triceratops is ready to color.

How to draw Triceratops Baby Dinosaur step by step

Please see the drawing tutorial in the video below

You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below

    Step 1

Start with a curved triangle on the left side of the page. Add an elongated S shape at the top and a short curved line at the bottom.
For the eye, sketch a downward curved line, draw a larger curved line underneath and connect the shape to a straight line. Draw a circle inside the eye and add curves around the eye to create depth.

    Step 2

Make a large curved triangle for the top horn. Below the front horn, draw another large triangle facing downwards, then draw a curved line for the lower jaw.
Add more curves to complete the mine. Sketch a circle for the nostrils and draw two more curved lines on the face.

    Step 3

For the left horn, draw a long triangle resembling a tentacle. Add lines inside the horn and curves below.
Start drawing a tall heart shape above the head and draw rounded triangles above and behind this shape like chewing gum.

    Step 4

Finish the heart shape loosely and add more gum. Sketch two large hooks inside the figure.

    Step 5

Start the right foot with an arrow pointing to the right, then draw a parallel arrow. Use two curved lines for the underside of the body. Sketch a few more curves around the head.

    Step 6

Make three ovals like Easter eggs for the toes. Use loose, irregular lines to draw the hind legs, then add a V above the first line to make the legs round like a chicken thigh.

    Step 7

Use rounded triangles for the toes on the back foot. Start the left foot forward with an uneven line.

    Step 8

Draw three more easter egg shapes for the toes, then complete the leg section with a curved line that connects to the torso. Draw a corner line pointing to the right to start the final leg.

    Step 9

For the back, create a curving curve that ends with a loose point for the tail, then release it into a deep curve that connects to the torso. Complete the final leg with three overlapping toes and a few short runs.

    Step 10

Complete your three-horned cartoon by outlining the entire drawing with a black pen or marker. Erase loose pencil lines. For a realistic look, color your cartoon tricorn with a light green color. Use a darker blue for the shadows and a lighter white for the horns, toes, and beak. Add a lighter green to the highlights to show the sunlight hitting the dinosaur’s skin.

You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below

    Step 1

So let’s start drawing Triceratops traditionally using mostly simple geometric shapes. Describe three ovals for the head, chest, and pelvis.

    Step 2

Now, use a long, smooth line to depict the neck, going into the spine and tail. Next, draw the front and rear legs with simple lines.

    Step 3

Now describe a mouth that somewhat resembles the beak of a bird. The upper jaw should be larger than the lower jaw.

    Step 4

Draw the bottom edge of the neck with a straight line. Further, go to the top of the head and draw the frill that we wrote in the beginning.

    Step 5

Draw two long, pointed horns on the top of the head and one shorter horn on the nose. Try to repeat the horn curl as in the example from the artists of Easydrawingart.com.

    Step 6

Draw a small round eye and a wrinkle below the horn. Next, draw the nostril under the nose horn. Use a few short lines to mark the lower jaw.

    Step 7

Now draw the front leg with four simple lines. Try to repeat their outline as closely as possible. Drawing one leg in front of the other will make the Triceratops look more dynamic.

    Step 8

Very simple stage of tutorial on how to draw Triceratops. At the bottom of the forelegs, the toes have short, rounded claws.

    Step 9

Now draw the bottom edge of the torso by connecting the ribcage and pelvis from below. In the same stage, draw the lower edge of the tail.

    Step 10

Now let’s perform the same actions as those performed in the seventh stage. Draw the rear pins using four simple lines, which should be larger than the front pins.

    Step 11

Now draw the toes with the toenails on the hind legs. Notice that from this vantage point we can only see three toes on each foot.

    Step 12

Carefully remove all construction lines that were created in the first two stages. To make the Triceratops drawing look clearer and more complete, darken the artwork by outlining it with a darker pencil.

    Step 13

We painted Triceratops’ skin green, eyes black and toenails dark green. Adding a drop shadow will give the Triceratops drawing a more realistic and lifelike look.

But that’s not all you can do with your Triceratops drawing. For example, you can draw a background with flora and fauna from the Cretaceous period.
