You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below

Step 1

Draw eyes and nose
First, draw two ovals to form the eyes. Next, we draw a rounded triangle to create the bat’s nose.

Step 2

form the head
To form the head of the fruit bat, create an oval shape. Then, attach a curved oval to form the snout. The nose of fruit bats is longer than other types of bats. They are sometimes called “flying foxes”.

Step 3

Attach the ears
Draw two pointed shapes at the top of the head for the outer ears. Next, create smaller pointed shapes to form the inside of the ear.

Step 4

Draw the body
First, create a bumpy shape underneath the head to form the downy part of the bat’s fur. Then, draw a U-shaped line for the rest of the body. Finally, attach the elongated V shape to form a tail.

Step 5

Attach lower limbs
To attach the limbs, draw slightly curved vertical lines in the shape of a circle. Make sure to add pointed ends to form the bat’s claws.

Step 6

Attach the arm
When creating the arms, draw two thin, elongated, pointed shapes on either side of the bat’s body. Next, we add small spikes on the arms to create the bat’s thumb.

Step 7

Forms wing membranes
Create the bat wing membrane by drawing a sharp line at one end of the arm and attaching it to the other end as shown.

Step 8

Add fingers
Add the fruit bat’s fingers by forming lines from the arms that connect to the pointed parts of the wing membranes.

Step 9

Complete the drawing of the Fruit Bat
Let’s complete the drawing of the fruit bat by first coloring the wing membranes, snout, nose and outer part of the ears with a black pencil. Now, use a black pencil to highlight the eyes and use a white pencil to add shine to the eyes. Next, shade the inner ear and fluffy part of the bat’s body with a light brown pencil. Finally, use a brown pencil to complete the bat body.
