You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below
Step 1
Start by drawing a curved line. This will form the bottom of the backpack.
Step 2
Draw a long, arc-shaped line above the existing line, joining it at each corner. This outlines the front of the backpack.
Step 3
Draw another curved line from the top of the backpack to its bottom. This gives the backpack a three-dimensional appearance.
Step 4
Add detailing and stitching to your backpack. Draw a curved line parallel to the side of the backpack. Outline a pocket or pocket on the front using a curved line. The resulting shape should overlap the rucksack’s hem and loosely squared corners. Draw a curved line parallel to the edge of this pocket, giving it depth. Then draw a pair of curved lines to connect the bag to the top of the backpack.
Step 5
Accentuate the front of the bag with a pair of curved, horizontal lines. Close an irregular circle near the top of the backpack and draw a line across it. Use some curved lines to outline the handles on the backpack.
Step 6
Remove guide lines as necessary. Outline the shoulder straps using pairs of curves. Draw the buckle used to adjust the strap length by placing a pointed teardrop shape inside another.
Step 7
Draw a pair of short curved lines on the side of the backpack and place a “U” shape underneath it. Draw a diagonal pattern – diagonal lines intersect at right angles – in the figure to form a mesh water bottle holder.
Step 8
Pull out your school supplies first from your pocket. Close a rectangle to form a notebook, with small circles at the top indicating how the spiral bound. Draw wavy lines on it to represent the writing. Next to the notebook, place a ruler and pencil in rectangular and pointed shapes. Draw curved lines on the bag to form the bulges of additional school supplies.
Step 9
Add the zipper teeth detail along the shape by drawing small lines on them. Draw a water bottle in the side pocket using some curved lines.
Step 10
Color your backpack. Backpacks can be found in every color imaginable, so feel free to get creative.
