Step 1
Nowadays there are many cars trying to ditch gas, however, their appearance has not changed completely. So we will draw the BMW i8 the same way we draw the Mercedes S class or all the other cars on our website. So we took a pencil and sketched out the basic lines of the car with the help of very light lines.
Step 2
In the second step, we usually add the most basic car parts on the bodywork, and this lesson will not be an exception. With the help of very light lines, we outline the arrangement of the grille, bumper and headlights in the front part. Sketch more wheels, mirrors and details on a side part.
Step 3
Starting with this step, we will use dark and clear lines. And as always, we started from the front of the car. Using straight lines draw the angled lines of our BMW i8 headlights. Next, draw the characteristic lines of the BMW grille (similar to the grille of the BMW 7 and any other BMW).
Step 4
Now draw the hood line where the air intake is located. Now let’s go a little lower and use curves to draw the rear bumper of our BMW i8. Don’t forget to delete all unnecessary lines from the front of the car.
Step 5
The front of the car is ready and we move to the top. Continuing the hood line, we draw a slight curve of the roof. Next, draw the lines of the window like in our example.
Step 6

Step 7
Probably the hardest step in the drawing lesson on how to draw a BMW i8 step by step – here we will draw the wheels. It was difficult because the wheels had to be perfectly rounded.
Step 8
The wheels are ready and we start drawing the rims. Note that we have drawn the standard BMW i8 rims, but you can choose from several other rims. Alternatively, you can add some shadows like in the tutorial on how to draw a Chevrolet Camaro.
