Step 1

And so that’s right – the composition is in place, now let’s fade to a lighter shade – and then start sketching in different lines, which will bring our animal into range. look.

Starting with the muzzle and yes, the eyes – this is how this cobra started to form…

And then yes, gray out some of those first few lines (this makes it easier to see what you’re doing – and what you’ve done!)…
Don’t go ahead, and sketch in the eyeball and around the side of the snake’s head.

Next – it’s about some of the details – those *key features*, that when someone looks at your cobra cartoon drawing – they will probably say…

Twisting and spinning, the next lines are placed… carefully bring the body of this animated snake into view.
Notice by drawing action lines, ahead of time – do we have a better idea of how and where these lines should go?
You know, you don’t have to draw a framework like I do. You can only *visualize* this in your mind.
Step 5

The other side of its head now – and yes, along the inside of its *zigzag* body, with another curve…
Draw the interior of the snake
And finally – go ahead and complete the lines of your cartoon king cobra – by following it from start to finish – all the way to the top, to the tail.

Draw the bottom of the snake

Bet you’ve never seen a cute cobra like this before? In fact, it is difficult to say. On the other hand, they are all cute and cartoonish, on the other hand…
