Step 1.
Start by drawing two curved lines, positioned at a small diagonal. This outlines the edges of the hat.
Step 2
Connect the lines at the top using a curved line.
Step 3
Connect the lines at the bottom with a curved line, enclosing the top of the hat. This is called a crown.
Step 4
Using a long and curved line, start outlining the brim of the hat. Loosen up to the shape of the crown of the hat.
Step 5
Connect the far end of the hat to the crown of the hat using a curved line. For the close side, you would enclose a curved shape showing the underside of the brim facing up. Loop a long line around, crossing the bottom part of the top of the hat.
Step 6
Remove the guide lines from the hat.
Step 7
Draw a strip around the hat. Just above where the top of the hat meets the brim, draw a curved line. Allow it to follow the curvature of the hat.
Step 8
Draw a decorative buckle or medallion on the hat’s ribbon. Draw a circle within a circle, erasing as needed.
Step 9
Add textures and details to your hat. Draw an irregularly curved shape on top of the crown, noting how it concave forwards. Draw curved lines on the hat and brim to create shape and texture.
Step 10
