Step 1

So we started this tutorial on how to draw a cute dog. Sketch three circles to represent our dog’s body and head. The position of the figures directly depends on the pose and angle that you create in your imagination. If you decide to create a drawing of a dog following our example, create overlapping circles like in our sample.

Step 2

Our dog turned his head slightly to the side. Reflect this in your sketch by drawing the contours of the nose and mouth in an almost full profile. The line forming the nose and mouth is not interrupted at head level and continues into a smooth contour of the neck with a characteristic curve. So we continue the tutorial on how to draw a cute dog. Add some detail to the head area. Draw the contours of the mouth into three curved lines forming a triangle. Mark the insides of the cup with small triangles. Use the base circle of the head as a basic guide.

Step 7

Add some details to the cutest and most vivid dog drawing. Draw the outline of the toes inside the rounded distal ends of the foot. As you remember, the toes on the hind legs point in different directions. Don’t forget the tail. Choose the shape and position of the tail according to your imagination.

Step 8

Check all drawings for errors and inaccuracies. Pay special attention to the contours of the head, which are quite intricate from this angle. Circle all the last lines with confident, contrasting strokes. Then erase the extra lines that you used as a guide so that your drawing doesn’t look transparent.

Step 9

Add some shadows. To simplify the work, let’s first outline the outlines of the shadow areas. Then, fill the space inside the aisles with empty cells. Choose a double-layer bloom for the heavy shade and one for the lighter shade. The most shaded areas on our dog’s body are the nostrils.
