Step 1
Start by drawing two hills for the eyes. Draw a dash above each eye, then sketch circles with smaller circles inside them.
Step 2
Sketch a curved line on either side of the face. Add two overlapping loops on each side with a dash in the middle.
Step 3
Draw an L shape backward to the right, then use a triangle to outline the tusk.
Step 4
Repeat the previous step but flip the image in the opposite direction.
Step 5
Outline the right ear on the elephant’s head and face using a curved and straight line, creating an umbrella-like shape. Draw lines inside the cartoon ear.
Step 6
Repeat the previous step for the left ear.
Step 7
Connect the ears using a curved line, then draw a J shape to begin the trunk.
Step 8
Sketch another J shape with a heart at the end.
Step 9
Draw lines on the elephant’s head and face for added realism.
Step 11
Finally, outline your cartoon elephant in black ink. Remember to fill in the pupils while leaving the eye highlights white.
