Step 1
To start Articuno, we first need to draw two stacked circles. These will become its head and body.
Step 2
Next, draw Articuno’s coat of arms on top of it which is made up of three diamond shapes.
Step 3
Draw a line connecting the head and body to form the neck and draw Articuno’s parrot-like beak just below the crest.
Step 4
Erase your overlapping lines and outline Articuno’s eyes between its beak and crest.
Step 5
Next, draw the inner pupil and highlight of Articuno’s eye.
Step 6
Now we can start working on the wings by drawing two long lines extending from below Articuno’s head.
Step 7
Draw another line starting at the tip of the wing and connecting back to the Articuno’s body.
Step 8
Inside the outline of the wings, draw some lines to create the Articuno’s wing feathers.
Step 9
Erase the unnecessary lines of the wings and draw two ovals below Articuno’s body for his upper leg.
Step 10
We can now draw the outside of Articunos’ paws and claws below the ovals of his upper legs.
Step 11
Next, draw the inside of Articuno’s paws and claws as shown in the image.
Step 12
Finally, draw a long ribbon like the shape for Articuno’s flowing tail.
