How To Draw A Cartoon Snake step by step

Please see the drawing tutorial in the video below

You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below

    Step 1

Start by drawing a curved line to form the top of the head.

    Step 2

Below the curve, draw a circle.

    Step 3

Starting at the left side of the circle, draw a curved, wavy line. Allow the line to pass through the circle and connect on the opposite side.

    Step 4

Remove the guide lines from the muzzle.

    Step: 5

Draw a short, curved line at each end of the mouth to indicate a smile. Draw two small ovals in the center of the face for the nose. On each oval, draw a short, curved line.

    Step: 6

Draw two curved lines at the top of the head.

    Step: 7

Erase guides from within the curves.

    Step: 8

Begin the body by drawing a long and curved line extending down from the head.

    Step: 9

Draw another curved line, parallel to the first one.

    Step: 10

Continue the lower curve to wrap around and above the upper curve.

    Step: 11

Draw another curved line extending above the last line. The snake’s body will now appear to form an “S” shape.

    Step: 12

Draw another curved line extending around and above the previous one.

    Step: 13

Draw a curved line extending from the endpoint of each of the previous two lines. Allow these lines to meet at one point.

    Step: 14

To draw the tongue, extend two parallel curved lines from the mouth down. Connect the lines using a short, curved line, forming a small fork.

    Step: 15

Draw another long, curved line extending from the mouth to the midpoint of the body.

    Step: 16

Add detail to the belly by drawing ten short, curved lines from the left side of the body to the center line.

    Step: 17

Draw two circles above the muzzle. On each circle, draw a short, curved line.

    Step: 18

Draw a smaller circle within each eye circle. In each small circle, draw a small oval on one side and two curved lines – meeting at a point at each end – on the other side. Shade the small circle, leaving the oval and curve unobscured.

    Step: 19

Draw circles and ovals of various sizes according to the length of the body. In our illustration, we used 18 such shapes to detail the body.

    Step: 20

Color your snake. Remember that snakes come in many colors, from brown and green to red, yellow and black.

How to draw a snow leopard step by step

Please see the drawing tutorial in the video below

    How2DrawAnimals

You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below

    Step 1

We will start this tutorial on how to draw a snow leopard by drawing the outline of the head and some details on the face.

For the edges of the face, we will use several smaller curves that connect to each other. This will help make the face look nice and hairy.

The ears will be quite small and they can be drawn with some smoother curves. Add some rounded shapes for the inner ear, and then we can draw some details on the face.

Draw some small eyes with lines extending down from them, and then we can finish with the nose and mouth. Once all of these have been drawn, we can move on to the second step.

    Step 2

Now draw the first leg and add some points
For the second part of your snow leopard drawing, we will draw the top of the back along with the first part.

For the back, just stretch a smooth curve from the top back. This will curve down to start forming the first move.

The leg will be pretty and quite long, and then it will end at the little round toes of the foot.

Before we continue, we’ll also start adding some spots to the leopard. These can take some patience to do, so make sure to take them slowly!

Draw some dots on the face and then you can draw some small circles all over the other parts of the leopard that you have drawn so far.

    Step 3

Draw the chest and next legs of the snow leopard
This animal has a rather hairy chest which helps to keep warm and this is what we will be drawing along with the legs next in this step of the how to draw a snow leopard tutorial.

For the chest, we’ll use lots of small curves to give it the feathery look we want. Be sure to add more curve detail to the inside of the bust once you have the contour.

Then you can draw the next leg. This one will be a bit further forward, so it will look bigger than the previous one.

Make sure you also use a crease for the border, as we’ll be aiming to make it look like feathers.

    Step 4

Next, draw the tail and the starting point of the next leg
We will aim to add the final details of this snow leopard drawing in this and the next steps!

For this step, the first thing we will do is draw the tail that bends to the left. Like many of the other parts of this snow leopard, we’ll be using some bumpy lines to give its tail a fur texture.

Unlike common leopards, which have a thin tail and when they sleep, this tail will be very thick. You can also add some point details to it.

The last thing to do in this step is to draw the outline of the last leg, and then we can move on to the final strokes in the next step.

    Step 5

Add the final details to your snow leopard drawing
You are now ready to complete the final details in this step of our how to draw a snow leopard tutorial.

First, complete the outline of the final you started with in the previous step, then add the usual details to it.

Once that’s done, finish off by adding a few smaller details to the rest of the snow leopard and then you’re ready for the final step!

Before you continue, make sure to also add any additional elements, details, or ideas that you want. What kind of background do you think would suit this gorgeous snow leopard?

    Step 6

Complete your snow leopard drawing with color
In fact, these animals do not have the brightest tones and this helps them blend into the snowy environment better.

This is the approach we took when coloring our example of this snow leopard drawing, and we used different shades of gray for the body.

The spots are quite dark gray, but otherwise the gray will be quite light.

When coloring your own images, be sure to use whatever shade of color and art medium you feel is best for it.

How to draw a Lilac flower step by step | Easy Lilac flower drawing

How to draw a Lilac flower with this how-to video and step-by-step drawing instructions. Simple drawing for kids and beginners.

How to draw a Lilac flower step by step

Please see the drawing tutorial in the video below

You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below

    Step 1

The bloom of lilac is the eruption of many small flowers. So let’s start by drawing some! For each flower, draw an oval in the center. Use “U” shaped lines to outline the four petals. Then draw a curved line down the center of each petal.

    Step 2

Draw more lilac flowers. Again, draw an oval in the center and use the “U” shaped lines to outline the four petals. Then draw a curved line down the center of each petal.

    Step 3

Draw in the lilac flowers as well. For each flower, draw an oval in the center. Use “U” shaped lines to outline the four petals. Then draw a curved line down the center of each petal. Notice how the flowers are arranged in a loose teardrop shape.

    Step 4

Draw unopened flower buds around the top of the spray bottle. For each one, draw a pinched heart shape. On some, draw a third petal by placing a curved line between the lobes of the heart shape.

    Step 5

Draw more unopened and partially opened flowers around and between the existing flowers. For some, use a heart or a heart shape with a third petal. For others, use curved lines to enclose a three-lobed shape or even outline a full four-petal flower.

    Step 6

Draw more flowers each part. Connect the existing flowers at the edge of the spray bottle using a series of connected “U” shaped lines. Draw curved stems for some buds on the outer edges.

    Step 7

Fill in the space between the flowers with a four-petaled flower section.

    Step 8

Draw the stem of the lilac flower. Sketch it using a pair of long curved lines and join them at the bottom. Draw “V” shaped lines at the top of the trunk where it splits into several branches.

    Step 9

Draw the leaves of the lilac. For each leaf, extend a curved line from the stem. Then, extend curved lines from each side of this vein. Allow them to meet at a sharp point.

    Step 10

Color your cartoon lilacs. The famous lilacs have purple flowers as their name suggests, but they also come in white, pink, and blue.

How To Draw A Caterpillar Step by Step | Easy to draw worm

How To Draw A Caterpillar with this how-to video and step-by-step drawing instructions. Easy animals to draw for beginners and kids.

Please see the drawing tutorial in the video below

You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below

    Step 1

For the first step of the tutorial on how to draw a caterpillar, we will start with the stick it will sit on.

To do this, you will draw some lines with some small bumps in them.

This will form a thin rod or a branch, and both ends of it will be fairly flat and angled. We’ll leave a gap over it on the right-hand side, but we’ll soon fill this void with the caterpillar itself.

    Step 2

Draw the head of the caterpillar
Now that you’ve finished drawing your caterpillar, we can now start on top. The head may look a bit complicated and detailed, but it’s not as hard as it looks!

As long as you keep a close eye on the reference image you should have no problem with it. The head is drawn with many rounded lines to give it a wrinkled look.

There will also be a small part of the face near the front, as shown in the reference image.

    Step 3

Now, start drawing the body of the caterpillar
With the head drawn, we’ll start with the body in this step of the how to draw a caterpillar tutorial.

The body will have a similar design to the head in that it will be drawn with many curves to create a segmented, wrinkled effect for the caterpillar.

In this step, you can also use some sharp lines at the base of the caterpillar for a sense of its front.

    Step 4

Complete the body outline in this step
Your caterpillar drawing is in good shape! Now you really get the hang of it, so you won’t have any problems with this next step.

Just continue drawing the segmented body you started in the previous step. At this step there will also be some swelling at the base of the caterpillar’s body with respect to the rounded legs underneath.

The body will also become thinner as it approaches the back of the caterpillar.

Once you’ve finished sketching, the space left in the branch will be filled in, and then you’ll be ready to add some final details in the next step!

    Step 5

Now you can add some final details
It’s almost time to add some color to your painting, but first, we have some final details to add to this fifth step of the tutorial on how to draw a caterpillar.

The details that we have in our reference images are subtle yet effective! You can add some small circles to the caterpillar segments to complete our details.

That should do it for the final steps, but you don’t have to move on to the next one yet!

Before you continue, be sure to add any details of your own that you might want! You can paint the background and add some leaves and other plants to it for an idea. Maybe you can also draw some caterpillars or other insects!

This is your chance to get really creative and see what great ideas you can come up with.

We can’t wait to see what wonderful touches you add to this image!

    Step 6

Complete your caterpillar painting with some color
That brings you to the final step of your caterpillar drawing! This step is going to be an interesting one, as it brings some great color to your painting.

How to Draw a Salamander with this how-to video and step-by-step drawing instructions. Easy animals to draw for beginners and kids.

How to Draw a Salamander Step by Step

Please see the drawing tutorial in the video below

You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below

    Step 1:

First, let’s draw the head. It is long and round, like the end of your thumb. Leave it open when finished.

    Step 2:

Now draw the front leg and a curved line for one side of the body. Body long and slender.

    Step 3:

For your next step, draw the other front leg and the other side of the body. The salamander has very short legs and five toes.

    Step 4:

Now draw the following pins. Do you know? If salamanders lose their hind legs, tail or other body parts, they can grow them back!

    Step 5:

Next is the tail. Draw two long, curved lines that connect into a pointed end at the end.

    Step 6:

For your final step, draw the iguana’s eyes and give them some detail. Draw two circles near the end of the head and place oblique lines going through the middle of each. Now think about coloring your drawing. Iguanas can come in a variety of colors, and male salamanders change to brighter colors during mating season when they want to attract a mate! Also choose a habitat for your animals to draw and color. Some salamanders live in wet swamps, while others live in arid deserts.

How to draw a cute hippo Step by Step

Please see the drawing tutorial in the video below

You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below

    Step 1

Start by using some curved lines to enclose an irregular round shape. Notice that the shape consists of two bulbous parts, the lower part being larger than the upper one. This shape outlines the hippo’s head.

    Step 2

Next, outline at the nose and muzzle. Draw the base of the muzzle using a long, curved line, curving as it cuts across the head. Use a rounded “M” shaped line.

    Step 3

Outline the lower jaw of the hippo. Use a curved line to connect the upper muzzle to the inside of the head. Then, draw another curved line from the edge of the muzzle to the edge of the jaw, outlining the inside of the mouth.

    Step 4

Remove the guide lines from the hippo’s head.

    Step 5

Draw an inverted “C” shaped line at the corner of the jaw, indicating the cheek. Connect this part to the top of the muzzle using a short, curved line. Above the muzzle, draw two eyes. For each eye, draw three ovals, one inside the other eye. Shade between the two smallest ovals to form the pupil. On each eye, enclose a curved shape, using two short lines. Remove the guide lines if necessary.

    Step 6

Use the “C” shaped lines to wrap the ears on each side of the hippo’s head. Then detail the inside of each ear using curves.

    Step 7

Sketch the hippo’s body using two long and curved lines. The lines should outline an oval; Notice how the lines do not connect, but instead form a parallel overlap. Draw a pair of curved lines extending from the back of the head to detail the hippo’s back. Use two curved lines that connect to the shape of the tail, forming a rounded point at the end.

    Step 8

Draw hippo legs, erasing guide lines if necessary. For each leg, extend two parallel curves down from the body. Notice how the lines diverge slightly to outline the foot. Connect the lines at the bottom with a curved line. Then, draw a loose, rounded “M”-shaped line across the front of each foot, indicating the toes. Finally, draw a curved line below the head to create detail for the neck.

    Step 9

View the hippo’s face in detail. Draw two large ovals at the tip of the muzzle; they indicate nostrils. Draw a curved line through each nostril so that it has a three-dimensional shape. Then draw a curved line down the middle of the nose. Use curved lines to enclose each hippo’s tooth. Draw another curved line on each side to make them three-dimensional. Finally, use curves in the mouth to indicate the tongue.

    Step 10

Color your hippo. In the wild, hippos are gray or brown with pink accents. Cartoon hippos are usually purple.

How to Draw an Iguana Step by Step

Please see the drawing tutorial in the video below

You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below

    Step 1

Start by drawing an oval. This will help you draw the head of the iguana.

    Step 2

Draw three curved lines that overlap the circle. This forms the upper and lower parts of the salamander’s mouth, as well as its lower jaw.

    Step 3

Erase the guide lines of the original oval. Draw a short line across the top of the jaw.

    Step 4

Draw two overlapping curved lines on top of the iguana’s head, forming the eyebrows. Then draw several smaller circles in a row that interlock to form the eyes. The shade between the two is the smallest to indicate the pupil. Then, draw a small oval with a dot next to it on the muzzle to indicate the nostril.

    Step 5

Use long and curved lines to outline the body of the salamander. Extend one line from the brow and the other from under the jaw.

    Step 6

Use a curved line to enclose the wavy shape of the skin below the salamander’s throat.

    Step 7

Extend the contours of the body using curves. Let the lines double below the body and meet at one point, forming the tail. Then, use pairs of curves of different lengths to draw the spines on the salamander’s back. The lines will meet at points. Note that the longest spikes are on the back of the iguana’s head.

    Step 8

Draw the salamander’s legs, erasing as needed. Use pairs of lines to draw the front and rear legs. Note the overlap in the shoulders and the flexion of the rear knee. Then, enclose the foot using curved lines and narrow “U” shaped lines for the toes. Also note the front paws visible behind the neck. Connect the jawbone, front leg, and hind leg using curves that indicate the muscle bottom.

    Step 9

Detail your salamander with a striped and spotted pattern. Wrap multiple triangles along the back and tail. Draw circles and ovals of different sizes on the head and back to give the lizard the scales.

    Step 10

Color your iguana. Many iguanas are green, but they can also be gray, brown, white, red, or black.

    Step 1:

Make two marks on your paper, one at the top and one at the bottom. This will determine the altitude of your Earth. On the edges, draw two more marks to define the width of your Earth. Keep the marks at equal distances. Now connect all the marks using curved lines to create a big circle. Sketch lightly at first so that it can be easily erased if you make a mistake. Draw the same curvature for each seam for a more rounded shape. If you’re struggling to draw a circle, simply trace the outline of a circular object like a bowl or lid.

    Step 2:

Draw a small V-shaped line at the top for the first part of North America. On the left, draw a wavy line. Your lines don’t have to be identical to mine. As long as they are the same, it will still be like planet Earth.

    Step 3:

Draw another wavy line below for more of North America. We’re not drawing a photorealistic Earth, so don’t worry if this isn’t exactly what the Canadian coast looks like.

    Step 4:

Draw a straight line down. About halfway around the circle, draw a thin U-shaped line for the Florida peninsula.

    Step 5:

Below that, draw a wavy line for the Gulf of Mexico.
And finally draw the address holder.

How to Draw a Flower Bouquet step by step

Please see the drawing tutorial in the video below

You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below

    Step 1

Start by drawing your first flower. Draw a circle to form the center of the flower. Then enclose the circles around the center using “U” shaped lines. These are the petals of the flower.

    Step 2

Draw a second flower. Draw a small circle for the center of the flower and use “U” shaped lines to enclose the petals.

    Step 3

Draw the third flower. Draw a circle to form the center of the flower. Then wrap the petals using “U” shaped lines.

    Step 4

Next, you will draw another flower – the tulip. From behind one of the first flowers, extend a pair of parallel lines to form the stem. At the end of the lines, draw a large “U” shaped line. This forms the lower part of the flower. Next, use a series of curved lines in the shape of a “W” to join the ends of the “U” around the flower. Repeat this process on the opposite side of the bouquet to draw another tulip.

    Step 5

Using a “U” and a “W” shaped line, draw another tulip that peeks behind the other flowers.

    Step 6

Next, outline the greenery or leaves of the bouquet. For each leaf, use two curved lines that meet at a point at the end. Leave the connecting leaves at the bottom, filling in the gaps between the flowers.

    Step 7

Continue drawing more overlapping leaves until the shape of the bouquet is gone. Detail some of the leaves by drawing a vein, a curved line down the center of the leaf.

    Step 8

Fill your bouquet with many smaller flowers. Draw two parallel lines for the stem and a circle for the center of the flower. Then extend a curved line to enclose the petals. Notice the wavy pattern at the end of each petal. Repeat until your bouquet is as full of flowers as you want.

    Step 9

Draw the branches of the bouquet. Extend a pair of straight lines downward, leaning toward each other. Connect lines by enclosing a flat, irregular shape. This will form the ribbon tied around the bouquet. Extend another set of lines from the ribbon and join these with a series of curved, jagged, interconnected curves.

Glue the teardrop shapes to form the bow of the ribbon, and the pairs of lines ending in a “V” shaped line to form the cut ends of the ribbon. Trunk and ribbon detail with curves

    Step 10

Color your bouquet, but don’t stop there. We have lots of other flower tutorials for you to choose from.

Draw the windows on the cockpit. Sketch the body details in front of the window. Ends with a long, circular rectangle and star symbol on the far wing.

    Step 6

    Add details to the body
Add a rectangle to the bottom two tail sections. Fill the rectangles with lines. Draw a rectangle with a missing corner on the top tail and add a smaller rectangle inside it. Sketch the contour details on the wings, engine and cockpit. Finish with a few rectangles for the hatches on the side of the body and some detail on the front bubble windows.

    Step 7

    More final details
Mark the pencil lines you want to keep with a marker. Remove any extra lines.

You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below

    STEP 1

Now that we’ve warmed up, let’s draw a rough circle for the head. Remember to keep your strokes loose and light. We don’t want to press too hard on our pencil because we will erase the instructions later.

    STEP 2

Once you’ve placed the circle on the paper, draw a cross at a small angle. Follow the “U” shape for the jawline. Make sure the “U” shape is in the same direction as the cross.

    STEP 3

Draw two ovals for the torso and hip positions. We wanted to track the flow and energy of our rough sketch study. Notice that the hips are wider than the rib cage. If you feel your pose is too stiff, you can add a line of action to reinforce the mermaid’s gesture.

    STEP 4

Next, we will draw the center lines of the torso and hips. From there, we can add the lower rib cage and some contrapposto shifts.

    STEP: 5

Draw the tail using progressively smaller “S” shapes.

    STEP: 6

The arms can be divided into round, cylindrical and glove-like shapes. Use the lines to help you determine the length of your mermaid arm. Next, add flowing “S” lines for the mermaid’s caudal fin.

    STEP: 7

Now we can add rough ovals for the eyes and lips. Add a small curved line to place the nose and divide the lip oval with a line. Helpful tip, the bottom lip is a bit thicker than the top.

    STEP: 8

Blocks the shape of hairs and breasts. At this stage, your mermaid will resemble a mannequin. Remember to keep your drawing light. If you are having trouble drawing light lines, you can use a 2H pencil to draw your bottom line.

    STEP: 9

Now that we have the foundation, we can refine our shapes and add details. Identify the eyes, hands, and bra shell. Note that clean lines are darker as opposed to shortened lines.

    STEP: 10

Delete all your unwanted lines. Continue to refine your line art and add a few fish scales for texture. At this stage, you have now completed your mermaid! If you want to continue working on your drawing, the next step explains some essential pencil coloring tips.

    ArtVille

You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below

    Step 1

There are two main ways you can go about drawing the outline. I’ve described the freehand technique in detail here, but please skip ahead to step 12 to read about ‘the Grid’ technique before continuing. If you choose to draw the outline with the freehand technique, begin by making a big egg-shaped outline. The front of this shape will form the front of the car’s upper bumper, and the sides will inform the shape of the body of the car. The far side of the shape should arc across the drawing with a relatively constant radius. The close side is much straighter, but curves to form a point with the other side towards the back of the shape.

    Step 2

Draw two straight lines coming off the inside of the egg shape. If you were to imagine the front bumper being divided into thirds, these two lines would point to the two division marks.

    Step 3

Draw a bowl-shaped line joining the two lines added in step 2. Then add two straight lines off the corners of this bowl-shaped line and make them extend to the middle section of the front bumper. We now have the general shape of the hood and cabin of the car.

    Step 4

Now we need to draw the bottom border of the car which includes the car’s ‘splitter’ (this is the part of the floor which forms the bottom of the car’s front section) and the sides of the car. To do so, add a line below the leading edge and sides of the ‘egg shape’ drawn in step 1, but make it follow the general shape of the upper structure. Next, we need to draw the rear of the car. You can see how one of the lines from the front of the car extends all the way around the cabin and curves around to the rear, creating a very streamlined shape. The rear boundary of the car is just a gentle curve. At this stage, the car looks a little like a computer mouse (to me at least).

    Step 5

Here we add some of the detail surrounding the air intakes at the front of the car and around the doors.

    Step 6

Quite a lot has been added in this step. To make it easier to determine what has been added, open the image in full view and swap back and forth between this step and the image from step 5.First, we need to draw the front fender shapes. Unlike on a normal road car, the body work of the LaFerrari molds around the shape of the front wheels with the central hood of the front section lying below the top of the fenders. This shape also creates two channels between the center of the car and the two front wheel fenders, and these channels run around the cabin and feed air into the side intakes. In this step we also add some of the structures at the base of the windshield, and start to add the air vents in the center of the front section.

    Step 7

The major additions in this step are the wheel wells. Given the perspective of the drawing, the wells do not appear circular at all. The sides almost appear straight, but they then tightly curve together with the apex of the curve occurs in the upper-right corner of the wells. If you have an ellipse template, it would be pretty helpful in drawing these wells. I suggest practising a bunch of ovals on a spare piece of paper until you get a shape that looks right and then tracing it over. alternatively, you can try the technique I explain in the next step. Also add the wing mirrors in this step. They align nicely with some of the guidelines/lines we have drawn so far. The far wing mirror (right side) appears to have a shorter stem than the closer one, but note that this is because of the perspective causing the windshield/cabin to obscure the rest of it.

    Step 8

Drawing wheels that match the perspective of a car is probably the hardest aspect of any car drawing and usually requires a lot of trial and error. Building an ellipse is quite complex. To start off, draw two lines along the sides of the car (faintly!) to mark the tops and bottoms of the two wheel rims. These should be in line with the base of the car. Next, add vertical (i.e. parallel with the sides of the paper) lines to each wheel region to mark the sides of the wheel rims. Now you have two boxes – one for the front wheel and one for the rear. Now draw two diagonal lines from the two opposite corners of each box so that each box has a large ‘X’ across it. Consider each ‘X’ as four lines that meet in the middle of the box. Now mark the middle of each of these lines so that you have an inner and outer segment. Then, mark the middle of the outer segments. Now you have found the point of each line that is 3/4 the distance from the center of the ‘X’. You also need to mark the middle of the four boundary lines of the box itself. Finally, draw an oval within the box, making sure that it touches these 8 points. This technique is NOT 100% accurate and you will probably need to alter the dimensions of the oval until it looks good.

    Step 9

Use the above technique to draw the rims of the wheels. These are not the tyres themselves (we won’t be able to see the tyre outlines in the final drawing) which is why they look so undersized for the wheel wells. Also add the outlines of the door seams in the cabin. The LaFerrari has interesting doors which have pieces of the roof attached to them, an interesting design feature that allows easier entry into the very low car – that is unless you can’t open the door fully!

    Step 10

In this step we add the final details to the outline. These include details to the headlights, the windshield, the windshield wiper, the badges, and the wheel rims. The latter is more complicated than the other aspects and I describe the process below.

    Step 11

The LaFerrari has wheel rims with 5 basic spokes. There are two main stages in drawing the rim details. Start by drawing the center of the wheel. To do so, find the center of the oval and then draw the center of the wheel a little bit to the left of this point (as the center of the wheel is sunken slightly). When drawing the spokes, take note of how each appears to be a different shape – this is because of the perspective of the picture. Also notice how the gap between the upper left spokes is really thin compared to the much larger gap between the lower right spokes. The front wheel is more detailed than the far less visible rear wheel, so worry less about the latter. The second stage involves adding depth to the spokes by giving them sidewalls. The spokes pointing to the 7:00 o’clock position have the largest visible side walls and those pointing to the 4:00 o’clock position have the thinnest. Finally, add an inner circle between the spokes, making it about 0.5cm from the outer ring of the rim.

    Step 12

Finally, we have finished the outline of the drawing, which is probably the most difficult aspect of this tutorial. Before we move on, I’ll describe an alternative technique to drawing the outline. It involves drawing a grid over the reference mate

    Step 13

We now can finally start the easier and fun part of the drawing – the shading. If you are familiar with my tutorials, my shading technique described here should hold no surprises. Begin by shading a rough base layer and then smooth it out with cotton pads/tissues (alternate between using a circular motion and left-right zig-zag motion when smoothin). Add a second layer of shading and smooth it out again. If you shade fairly consistent layers, then they should smooth out nicely and two layers should be enough. Note that if you need to add multiple layers, the shading can start to get too dark. In this step, I am starting the shading process.

    Step 14

Now start to smooth out the shading with a cotton pad/tissue. A lot of the panels on the car are shaded in a single tone and don’t have any gradient, making them a lot easier to shade. The top surfaces of the front of the car and the vents in the center of the hood are the major exceptions to this, as you will see in the following steps.

    Step 15

Continue to smooth out the rest of the shading. Now we need to sharpen up some of the reflections and shadows. Because cars have glossy paint, they will reflect a lot of the surroundings and light in their paint. In this drawing, the upward-facing surfaces of the car reflect the sky and are thus very light, whereas surfaces facing the sides are not reflecting the sky and are also cast in shadow. They are thus a rich red color on the car, and this translates into darker shading in our black/white drawing. The few downwards facing surfaces are cast in black shadows. Also note how some of the darker panels blend with the lighter panels through long, pointy, thin lines. This reflects the very angular junctions between body panels on the real car.

    Step 16

There are a few regions on the car where there are more complicated reflections in the paint. The back of the front fender is one such area (see inset for larger image). Another area with complicated reflections is the side of the car just beyond the door windows. Leave a thin highlight along the line dissolving the upper surface from the vertical side of the door

    Step 17

Develop the gradient on the hood and smooth it out. Then add some shade

    Step 18

The detail along the rear of the side of the car has now been developed. There are three large streaks of shading separated by thin highlights. The upper streak extends all the way over the rear wheel well and has a jagged upper border towards the rear of the car. It’s also darker than the other two. To create the thin highlight strips, get two sheets of paper and align them very close together (as demonstrated in the upper left corner of the image) over the region of the drawing and then erase the strip between them. In this step I’ve also started to draw the reflections in the roof of the car. The roof is significantly covered by a black reflection, but there are a few little highlights.

    Step 19

Darkly shade the roof sections outlined previously, but leave the highlight areas untouched for the moment. Also add some reflections to the left wing mirror (see inset for detail). There are a lot of highlights on the mirror housing, but also some dark shadows on the undersides.

    Step 20

With the roof largely finished, we now start to focus on the car’s shadow and the windscreen. The car’s shadow will obviously fall underneath the front and side border of the car. In this step we just need to add a thick and dark line along these borders. I’ve also outlined the outer and inner lines of the wheel rims where the rim is bordering a dark area. Now turn your attention to the windshield. Because the interior of the car will be very dark, and the glass will reflect the sky, the interior details will not be very visible. You will be able to make out the two seats, the outline of the dashboard and the steering wheel, but not much else. Draw the passenger seat in roughly the center of the windshield and the steering wheel towards the left column of the cabin. The driver’s seat will be mainly visible through the door window. Note that you can elect to just draw a gradient across the windshield instead.

    Step 21

In this step we add most of the details to the wheel rims. You need to pay attention to where the shadows fall – in the front wheel, the main shadows are at the 1 o’clock position on the inner rim surface, and on the sides of the 4 o’clock spoke and the 11 o’clock spoke (not added in this step). The same applies to the rear wheel, but less noticeable. Next, start to shade the interior of the car. You really don’t need much detail on the dashboard; just add the general shape I have drawn here. The shading on the dashboard and seats will be lighter than the other shadows shaded in this step. Finally, the shadow under the car has been outlined and the shading has been started. As you can see, the shadow almost fully encloses the two tires. In the end, the tires will be almost indistinguishable from the shadows.

    Step 22

Darken the shadow under the car and start to shade the seats and dashboard in the interior.

    Step 23

Use a 4-6B pencil to blacken the shadow under the car (be careful not to scratch the paper!) and also the tires surrounding the wheel rims. Also darken the shading of the windscreen/interior. You can see some lighter streaks of shading in the interior – these are actually representing reflections on the windshield itself. More will be added in the next step.

Quite a lot has to be added in this step. First, lightly use an eraser to create more highlight streaks across the windshield. You should be trying to get a cloudy texture. Next, darken all the panel lines on the hood and doors. After that, add very small horses to the two badges on the hood and side of the car. The Ferrari horse emblem might be a little difficult to draw on such a small scale so you may want to just leave the badges blank. Finally, the headlights need to be finished. I haven’t mentioned the headlights in the previous steps, but you can see the three major progressive states of the more complex left headlight here. First, note how the headlight has a shadow cast across its lower half. Also note how the main reflective part of the headlight is only partially visible as it is enclosed by some type of housing. The second image shows the outline of the strange pattern covering this reflective area (the light bulb itself is not visible). The final image shows the shaded pattern – the areas that are shaded should be dark and the highlights should be white. It’s a pretty messy pattern – just try to get a balance between curvy highlights and black areas between them. The two headlights also have a weird vertical row of LEDs that extend above them. Again, only the left one is really visible. It may appear as though I have drawn these LEDs carelessly as they are all slightly different shapes, but that is how they actually looked in the reference material. And finally, after a very long and challenging tutorial, we are finally fin

How to draw a Dalmatian Dog Step by Step

Please see the drawing tutorial in the video below

You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below

    Step 1

Let’s start creating a dog from its skeleton. Use simple and barely visible lines to depict the head, chest, and pelvis. Use the same simple lines to create the spine, tail, and legs. Note that this tutorial on how to draw a realistic dog starts out like our simpler tutorial.

    Step 2

Now, using a few lines of light, create the outline of the muzzle and the hanging ears. As always, we remind you that we are giving the best and most classic example. You can modify your drawing by changing certain details on your artwork.

    Step 3

Now contour the forelimbs with rough and loose lines. In the future, we will give them a more detailed and complete view. Now, we need to position the front leg in the most correct way, for the correct volume.

    Step 4

Now, use a few smooth lines to create the top and bottom edges of the body. Note that the torso should taper slightly at the abdomen. Next, use light lines to outline the tail. If you want to check the accuracy and proportionality of your sketch, look at it in the mirror.

    Step 5

Now let’s move on to the real dog’s hind legs, create them with the help of light lines in the same way as we did a little bit earlier with the front legs. The hind legs should be significantly thicker at the top and tapering towards the middle.

    Step 6

It’s time to get down to the details and make the realistic dog drawing really convincing. Starting with the eyes, outline them into two almond-shaped geometric shapes. The eyes should be slightly above the center of the head shadow. Draw a nose just below the eye. In one of the previous tutorials, we talked about how to draw a dog’s nose in detail.

    Step 7

Draw the mouth just below the nose. First, draw the upper jaw, then draw the lower jaw. By adding creases around the muzzle, as in our example, you will make your sketch more realistic and convincing. If you want to learn more about the process of drawing a dog’s head, visit our article on how to draw a dog’s face.

    Step 8

Now it’s time to add some detail to the front legs. Using darker lines, carefully draw the outlines of the front legs. When creating the details of the forelegs, note the contours of the muscles and bones under the skin. Draw short toes and claws. To make the dog look more realistic, add folds on the neck like in our example.

    Step 9

Now do the same with the hind legs, i.e., carefully draw them with sharper and darker lines. Draw the toes and claws. As a reminder, you can add some volume to your dog sketch by making the near lines darker than the farther lines. We talked about this in our article on aerial views.

    Step 10

Add some finishing touches. For example, we made the tail more detailed and the ears darker. Alternatively, you can add more pleats or paint some interesting textures on the bodice.

    Step 11

Remove all unnecessary principles from your sketch. Give the necessary lines a little more tonality. Compare your drawing with our example, look at it in the mirror and move away from it to find errors and if they have been made, it’s time to correct them.

    Step 13

Now it’s time to make your artwork truly three-dimensional and convincing. To do this, you need to use stroke and shading, as shown in our example. Start from the darkest areas, gradually working towards the lighter areas. Darken the eyes, leaving small highlights in them.

You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below

    Step 1:

First, draw the head and face, almost like a crocodile: long, flat jaws, with a small crest in place of the eyes. The famous horn of Ceratosaurus is located at the end of the snout above its nose. Don’t forget a circle for the eyes.

    Step 2:

Draw the body with a long sloping line that will go from the back of the head down to the tip of the tail. Then draw a more angled line to show the bottom of its neck, chest, and underside.

    Step 3:

Draw the front legs. Like in many therapies, they are small but very powerful. Draw them curved at an angle, with narrow arms and small claws ready to catch prey. Another curve below the arm will show the chest model of the dinosaur.

    Step 4:

Draw the hind legs, with a series of curved lines, flexing for the big thighs, knees, shins, and ankles. Place a V-shaped line behind the legs, where the body meets the tail. Raise one leg as if the ceratosaurus was running. The feet are large and flat with sharp claws.

    Step 5:

Draw a thick and slightly curved tail to create balance behind the dinosaur, eventually ending at a narrow point like a whip.

First, draw the head, which has a long and low muzzle, like a crocodile. Baryonyx is one of the few known fish-eating dinosaurs, and its mouth evolved just for this purpose.

    Step 2:

Draw the eyes and face by drawing a line along the opening of the mouth, to show the inside, and a small circle for the eyes. Baryonyx did not have large teeth like other large dinosaurs.

    Step 3:

Draw the body, starting with a curved neck that starts lower on the body compared to other dinosaurs, resulting in a raised back.

    Step 4:

Draw the forelimbs as angular, narrow arms with very sharp claws at the ends.

    Step 5:

Draw the hind legs, very long, with large thighs and narrow shins. You may want to break it down into a series of curves, flexing for thighs, knees, shins, and ankles. The feet are large and tall, with three pointed toes.

How to Draw a Teapot with this how-to video and step-by-step drawing instructions. Simple drawing for kids and beginners.

How to Draw a Teapot Step by Step

Please see the drawing tutorial in the video below

You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below

    Step 1

Start by drawing a long and curved line like a semi-circle. This will form the lid of the teapot.

    Step 2

Unscrew the handle of the teapot, erasing as needed. Use a curved line to enclose the irregular circular shape.

    Step 3

Draw the bottom of the lid. First, connect the ends of the half circle using a long, curved line. Then draw curved lines around the bottom of the lid. Note that the lines on the sides and middle don’t quite meet.

    Step 4

Trace the edges of the teapot. Extend a long, curved line from each side of the cap to create an incomplete circle.

    Step 5

Unplug and erase when necessary. Use overlapping curves to outline the faucet and a short curved line to indicate the hole in the nozzle.

    Step 6

Draw the handle of the teapot. Use a long, curved line to outline the outer edge of the handle, noting the dough at the bottom. Use overlapping curved lines to draw the inside of the handle.

    Step 7

Draw the base of the teapot. First, draw a line between the edges of the outline, but do not join it. Then draw another curved line that overlaps both edges and completely encloses the shape.

    Step 8

Decorate your teapot with a festive flower. First, you draw a circle to form the center of the flower. Then draw curved lines around its edges. Draw a “U” shaped line to enclose a semicircle. These are the petals of the flower.

    Step 9

Draw flower stalks. Extend a curved line below the flower. Then, use curved lines to enclose the leaves, pointed at the ends, on each side of the stem.

    Step 10

    Color your cartoon teapot.

    Step 1

Start by drawing Snorlax’s head. Use three curved lines to outline an incomplete circle. Seal the two openings by drawing the ears, using curved triangles.

    Step 2

Draw the face of the Pokémon. Use curved lines for closed eyes and to enclose the semicircular mouth. Draw a curved line inside the mouth to indicate the tongue.

    Step 3

Draw a wide and curved “M” shape around the face. Draw two triangular teeth at the bottom of the mouth. Then, extend a line from the base of the neck to the top of the arm.

    Step 4

Continue the line and double it back to itself to outline the arm. Then draw small triangles for claws at the top of the hand.

    Step 5

Draw the other arm. Again, extend a long line from the top end and double it back to itself. Draw triangular claws at the top.

    Step 6

Draw a curved line that overlaps the bottom of an arm. This outlines the Snorlax’s belly. Draw an oval at the bottom of the line to form the foot. Extend a short line from the bottom of the foot to outline the leg.

    Step 7

Complete the actions of the previous section on the opposite side. Extend a curved line below the arm, then draw an oval, and then a short curved line.

    Step 8

Draw claws on the feet – small triangles overlapping the edge of the oval. Delete as needed.

    Step 9

Wrap a large oval on the belly, connecting with an “M” shape around the face on each side. Draw an oval at the bottom of each foot.

    Step 10

Color your Snorlax cartoon. He is dark green or teal with a cream face and belly.
