This is the smallest bird I have ever hatched. After little Finch lost her mate, I was asked if she could stay in my big Aviary. When I returned home after picking her up, on the way back she laid an egg in the little shipping box! The birds only do this when they have an egg that needs to be laid.
I knew there was only a small chance it would accept and incubate this egg on its own in an actual nest, but I wanted to give it a try before I put into action. bond with a human” ends up being very lovable and social. He’s a very special bird.
This is amazing. See that little heart beat and see her bloom. Your patience with that first feeding, then seeing her on the table as you feed her, made me cry. Then I was completely laughing, when she started feeding. How about calling her Zoe. Thank you Alvin. You are a wonderful human being. You are amazing with these furry friends.
