You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below

Step 1:

Start by drawing a large oval with a pointed bottom similar to an egg near the middle of the page. Leave enough room on the left side to draw Alice’s hair. The shape doesn’t have to be perfect or look exactly like the image above. It’s just a basic guide for Alice’s head.

Step 2:

Below the oval, draw two curved lines as guides for Alice’s neck and shoulders.

Step 3:

Next, draw two intersecting lines on the oval, one vertical and one horizontal. Bend the lines so they follow the outline of the shape. Draw two smaller lines in between the horizontal construction line and the bottom of the oval. These will be construction lines that will help you position Alice’s facial features later.

Step 4:

Above the horizontal line, on either side of the vertical line, draw two shapes to define Alice’s eyes. The shapes have a sharp angle at the bottom right and an arc at the top left.

Step 5:

Draw a curved line similar to a C on the left side of the head to define Alice’s ears.

Step 6:

Draw a few curved lines around Alice’s head as guides for her hair. The longer line starts on the upper right side of the head, then goes over the head and ends above the left shoulder. Draw a smaller line on the lower right from the face to the right shoulder.

Step 7:

That’s the initial sketch done! You have Alice’s basic shape. Now go in and tighten up your drawing. From this point on, press harder with the pencil to get darker lines and a clearer sketch.

Step 8:

Use the vertical construction line and the smallest horizontal construction line as guides to draw Alice’s nose. The bridge of the nose begins above the right eye. The curve points towards the vertical construction line and then comes out again to form the point of the nose. The last line ends at the smallest construction line. Draw a small line on the left for Alice’s nostril.

Step 9:

Darken the shape of Alice’s eyes and make the corners more rounded and the sides more bulging. Draw Alice’s thick, curled eyelashes above each eye. Draw a curved line above each eye for her eyelids.

Step 10:

Inside each eye, draw a circle for Alice’s irises. Inside each iris, draw a smaller circle for her pupil and an even smaller circle to represent glare. Darkness in students. Draw a thick line above each eye to make Alice’s eyebrows. The line on the left is longer because of perspective.

Step 11:

Now draw Alice’s mouth just above the lowest point of the horizontal lines. Alice’s upper lip is shaped like a very wide M with a line underneath. Her lower lip has just two wide curves that resemble the letter U overlapping each other.

Step 12:

Use the original line above Alice’s head to draw the first section of hair. Divide the above part in two. The left side of her hair curves down the left side of her head and covers the top of her ear. The right side of Alice’s hair is a curve that ends at the right eyebrow.

Step 13:

On the left side of Alice’s hair, draw her headband. The headband is made up of two curved lines going from the top of the head to the left side of the ear. On top of the hair, draw a few angled lines to make a bow.

Step 14:

Darken the left part of Alice’s hair. Draw the curls falling over her shoulders using a series of curved lines leading to a point. Use the image above for further reference when drawing.

Step 15:

Use the original oval to draw Alice’s face. Notice that the line that frames her face is inward where the eye should form the cheek. Draw the ears and neck using the original lines as a guide.

Step 16:

Draw Alice’s collar below her neck. Draw a curved line below her neck, then add a large W-shaped line below to complete the neckline of her dress.

Step 17:

Use the original lines for Alice’s shoulders to create the white part of the dress over the blue part. Draw a wide curved line under the collar, then draw a series of lines across the shoulder for the sleeves.

Step 18:

It’s done! Now you have a nice sketch of Alice from Walt Disney’s Alice in Wonderland. You can stop at this quick drawing for a rough look, or get a more finished look by continuing with the step below.

Step 19:

For a more finished, inked look, carefully draw over the final outlines with a pen or marker. Wait for the ink to dry and then use an eraser to remove each pencil mark. You now have a complete drawing of Alice.

Step 20

Final step: To have a complete drawing of Alice, you must color it. You can use markers, colored pencils or even crayons! Alice has blonde hair so paint it yellow. Her headband and bow are black. The bottom of her dress and her eyes are light blue. Alice’s lips are pink and her skin is peach. If you don’t have peach, you can improvise and use orange-yellow or light brown. That’s it! You now have a completed drawing of Alice from Walt Disney’s Alice in Wonderland
