You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below

Step 1

Start by drawing a circle. This will be the path to form the rest of the fruit.

Step 2

Sketch pear. Use a long, curved line to enclose a circle on top of the circle. Allows the line to cut into the circle, defining the shape. At the bottom of the circle, use two short overlapping curves to detail the “navel” of the fruit, where part of the flower was once attached.

Step 3

Erase the original circle, leaving a clean outline of the pear. This shape is called “piriform” or “pyriform.”

Step 4

Use a long, curved line to enclose the second pear, hanging at a diagonal angle and slightly behind the first pear.

Step 5

Draw a trunk above the pear. Start with two curved, parallel curves. Enclose the lines using a short line at one end and a small oval at the other.

Step 6

From the branch, extend two pairs of straight lines downward, one for each fruit. Notice that the lines diverge, growing further apart as they reach the fruit. Wrap the ends with a series of serrated lines that are joined together.

Step 7

Remove the guide lines from the trunk.

Step 8

Draw two equally spaced parallel lines extending from the branch to form the leaf stem. Use curved lines of different lengths, meeting at jagged points, to outline the leaf. Then sketch a second leaf after the first.

Step 9

Draw veins on the leaves. Use a long, curved line for the central vein and additional lines for the accessory veins.

Step 10

Color your pear. Depending on the variety, pears range in color from green to yellow, from red to brown. They can contain combinations of all of these colors.
