You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below

Step 1

To begin this tutorial on how to draw a piano, we will start from the top of the piano. First, you can start by drawing a music stand.
This is a small panel in the middle of the piano that the player can place his music on while playing.
Then you’ll use some of these lower lines for the shelf below it. This will also have a small ridge on the left side of the shelf.
You can then use a curved line extending down from it for the edge of the piano as shown in the reference image.

Step 2

Draw the piano lid
The type of piano we will draw has a large lid that can be lowered to cover the strings.
We will add this element to this part of your piano drawing. To do this, you will need some straight lines along with some curves to create the lid as shown in our reference image.
Finally, you’ll also draw a curved line down from the right side of the shelf.

Step 3

Now you can draw keys and other elements
It wouldn’t be the same as a piano without some keys to play, so we’ll add them to this step-by-step tutorial on how to draw a piano.
To do that, you can use some lines to draw multiple keys on the piano where you see them in the reference image.
Before continuing, you can also add a few more lines to complete the shelf you started earlier. Alternatively, you can draw the lid strut that keeps the lid open at this step before continuing.

Step 4

Next, draw the body of the piano
We’ll be working primarily on the body of your piano drawing in this step. The body will be made up of several parts and you can build it using several curves.
You can also add the first foot and pedal to complete this step. With those elements in place, it’s just a matter of adding a few final details before you start coloring your piano drawing!

Step 5

Now you can add the remaining pins
This step in our how to draw a piano tutorial will help you draw some of the final details and components before the final step.
There are only two more legs left to draw and they will look very similar to the first leg you drew in the previous step.
Then, once you have completed these elements, you have completed your drawing and are ready for the final step!
Before continuing, you can first add some of your own details to this drawing. Maybe you can sit at the piano yourself and play it!
Or, you can look up pictures of your favorite musical instruments and draw them into the background to make it look like a concert waiting to happen.
There are also lots of fun little touches and extras you can add to the piano to really make it your own, so be sure to have fun and get creative with it!

Step 6

Complete your piano drawing with a touch of color
You have now reached the final step in your piano painting process and this step is going to be a lot of fun! This is the part where you have to take charge and show us how creative you can be with your amazing color choices.
