How to Draw a Satellite step by step

Step 1

Draw a semicircle with a rounded bottom, then draw a cylinder behind it. You can use a ruler to draw straight lines and trace a circular object, such as a soda can, to draw curves.

Step 2

Draw a curve inside the satellite, then draw two diagonal lines and connect them with a curved line. Draw two curved lines inside the cylinder.

Step 3

Draw an oval outside the satellite dish, then connect it to the dish using two diagonal lines. Sketch a narrow oval inside the disc. Add a slanted oval on the side of the satellite with a smaller oval inside it.

Step 4

Use your ruler to draw two slanted squares at opposite corners. Sketch two loops on top of the first square. These shapes will overlap the cylinder.

Step 5

Draw another angled square to the left with a line connecting it to the satellite. Sketch a line inside the cylinder and a dome on the right side.

Step 6

Draw rectangular grids inside the squares to outline the solar panels.

Step 7

Draw the final lines inside the left square, then outline a circle with the smaller circle and swirls for the animated planet.

Step 8

Add another circle below the satellite. Sketch two angled ovals to form the ring.

Step 9

Use straight lines to draw pointed stars scattered in space. Make some stars larger than others to show different distances.

Step 10

Outline your drawing with black ink and erase the pencil lines. Color the sky and the oval on the satellite dark blue. Use different shades of gray for satellites and teal for solar panels.

Make the planets teal and orange, then use orange for the satellite small parts. Use light gray for the stars or leave them white. Try adding another structure to your drawing, such as an animated space rocket.
