You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below
Step 1
Start sketching King Kong by drawing the ape’s face. Use curved lines to trace the circles of the eyebrows, nostrils, and mouth openings. Use additional curves to contour above the eyebrows, enclose the eyes and pupils, contour the nostrils, and outline the teeth along the upper jaw.
Step 2
Sketch the first part of your King Kong cartoon. Use curved lines to outline the head and shoulders, the tongue, the side of the mouth open, the teeth along the lower jaw, the furry jawline, and the ears.
Step 3
Draw the chest and muscular belly of the animal. Use curved lines to outline the chest muscles and the sides of the abs. Connect the lines at the bottom with a series of short lines that meet at jagged points, indicating fur. Contour the muscles by drawing straight lines down the center of the torso.
Step 4
Draw the giant ape’s arm. Use curved lines to outline the upper arm, lower arm, and curved fingers. At the elbows and wrists, use a series of lines that meet at jagged points to create the look of fur.
Step 5
Draw the remaining arm, erasing as needed. Again, use curved lines to outline the upper arm, lower arm, and curved fingers. At the elbows and wrists, use a series of lines that meet at jagged points to create the look of fur.
Step 6
Draw the sides and bottom of the body using curved lines.
Step 7
Draw legs. Use overlapping curves to outline the edges of the legs. Connect them at the ankle using a series of curved lines that meet at jagged points.
Step 8
Draw the other leg. Again, use overlapping curves to outline the edges of the legs. Connect them at the ankle using a series of curved lines that meet at jagged points. Knee contour with short lines arranged in an open circle.
Step 9
Complete your King Kong sketch by drawing his feet and toes. Use overlapping curves to outline the toes and place a pedicure at the tip of each toe.
Step 10
Color your cartoon about King Kong. We’ve painted it black and gray, the typical colors of the silverback gorilla.
