How to draw Pegasus step by step

Step 1

Despite the fact that this is a mythical horse, it is generally painted as a normal horse. Let’s start with the skeleton of our pegasus. First sketch the head as a circle. Then outline the muzzle and neckline. Next draw the outline of the chest and pelvis. At the end of the step we outline the legs.

Step 2

Now we need to add mass to the pegasus’ body. First draw the ears and eye lines on the head. Continue drawing the neck extending to the chest. Next, connect the chest and pelvis, forming the torso. Sketch the leg, trying to repeat all the curves as in our example. At the end of the step sketch the wings and tail.

Step 3

Now let’s work on the final details. Use clear and dark lines to draw the outline of the head. Next carefully draw the eyes, nose and mouth. Don’t forget to remove the instructions from the head of our pegasus. Also, don’t forget to add a few folds at the top to make it look more realistic.

Step 4

Continue the lesson on how to draw a pegasus. In this step we finish drawing the head. Draw the ears and use wavy lines to draw the mane. We drew a rather short mane, but for more grandeur you can draw a long or fiery mane.

Step 5

Now let’s draw the wings. Draw a few rows of feathers. Note that the feathers near the edge of the wing will be larger than the rest of the feathers. In the same step, use clear and dark lines to draw the front legs and remove all unnecessary lines in the legs and wings.

Step 6

Now we need to do the same, but with the back of the horse’s body, that is, using clear and bold lines, we will need to draw the hind legs and tail. To make the tail look more realistic, use long, slightly curved lines. Don’t forget to remove all unnecessary guides from our pegasus drawing so the finished drawing is clean and beautiful.

Step 7

To make our Pegasus look more realistic, we need to add some shadows. We drew shadows, similar to those in comics. That is, it is the dark and contrasting areas of darkness. But you can create more bright shadows, like in the lesson about the dire wolf.
