Step 1
Begin sketching Pompompurin from Sanrio by shading the main parts of the face. Draw two circles for the eyes and an inverted, rounded triangle for the nose.
Step 2
Draw a “W” shaped circle below the nose to indicate a smiling mouth. Draw a curved line for one side of the face.
Step 3
Draw a curved line, folding it in half to form the puppy’s floppy ear. Below it, use a curved line for the edge of the face.
Step 4
Draw an incomplete flattened oval on top of the head. This will become a beret style hat. Use a “C” shaped line to enclose the remaining floppy ear.
Step 5
Draw a small line doubled over to form the stem or stalk on the top of the beret. Connect the hat to the ears using short, curved lines. Use a “U” shaped line to form the character’s first hand.
Step 6
Draw another “U” shaped hand, then use curved lines to trace the edges of Pompom’s chubby body.
Step 7
Draw two partial ovals to form the dog’s paws.
Step 8
Connect the feet using a long, curved line. Then, draw a circular, scalloped shape with one hand using a series of connected “U” shaped lines.
Step 9
Finish enclosing the circle using “U” shaped lines. Shade a few small ovals inside it. It’s a delicious chocolate chip cookie!
Step 10
Your sketch of Pompompurin from Sanrio is now complete. Color your cute character. As a Golden Retriever breed, the Pompompurin is usually light yellow in color. He always wears his signature brown beret.
