You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below

Step 1

Use a long, curved line to outline the bean-shaped head. Contour the head and forehead with curved lines.

Step 2

Use curved lines to contour the face, including the bands along the base of the head. Outline the jaw and use a zigzag line to indicate sharp teeth.

Step 3

Use curved lines to outline the alien’s torso. Outline the shoulders and sides. Use overlapping curves to represent the rib cage.

Step 4

Draw the muscular arms of the aliens. Use pairs of lines to form the shoulder, upper arm, lower arm, and hand muscles. Attach a long teardrop shape along the lower arm. Attach three pointed fingers, using two curved lines that intersect at a point for each finger. Detail the ligaments of the hand with curves.

Step 5

Draw the other arm. Use curved lines to outline the shoulders, upper arms, lower arms, and hands. Notice the short line indicating the bend of the elbow and the teardrop extending over the forearm.

Step 6

Draw the alien’s bent leg. Use pairs of curves to form the upper leg, lower leg, foot, and pointed toe. Place a teardrop shape on the upper leg and tie it with diagonal curves.

Step 7

Draw the other leg. Use pairs of curves to outline the top leg, bottom leg, foot, and pointy toe. Notice the curvature at the top of the hips. Draw teardrop shapes along the top and bottom of the legs, and tie them with curved lines.

Step 8

Extend some curves from the back, doubling them back to form the back tubes. Then, extend a pair of curved lines from the hips to form a long tail. At the tip of the tail, draw short lines outward. Then, stretch the two curves that meet at a point, forming a bent triangle.

Step 9

Draw triangular spikes along the top of the tail, erasing if necessary. Tie the tail with loose “S” shaped lines.

Step 10

Color your cartoon aliens. They are usually black or gray in color, but can be pale and pinkish when newly hatched.
