Please see the drawing tutorial in the video below

You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below

Step 1

Start by drawing a circle. This will form the head of the deer.

Step 2

Use a curved line to enclose a circle, irregularly on one side of the circle. This will form the deer’s nose or muzzle. Then use a second curved line to enclose the lower part of the mouth.

Step 3

Remove the guide lines from the muzzle. Use a curved line to mask the irregular shape of the nose. Draw a small oval at the tip of the nose to indicate shine. Then, use a long, curved line to outline each ear on the top of the head.

Step 4

Erase the guide lines from the ear.

Step 5

Face details. For each eye, draw a large circle. At the bottom of the circle, draw a circle in the shape of a “W” and at the top, an oval. Shade between them to indicate the pupil. Use a pair of curved lines, meeting at one point, to form the corner of the eye, giving it a teardrop shape. Then, use a curved line to outline the brow bone above each eye, erasing the guides as needed. Enclose a curved, pointed shape at each end, above the eyes to indicate the eyebrows. Finally, wrap a circle in each ear, following the outline of the outer ear.

Step 6

Draw the deer’s body using a series of curved lines. Use a few lines for the neck and below it outline a peanut-shaped body.

Step 7

Draw the legs, erasing the guide lines as needed. Use a series of curved lines to outline each leg. Note the swelling in the knees and ankles, and the curvature of the distal leg. For hooves, wrap an irregular, slit or indented shape at the front.

Step 8

Draw the rear pins, erasing the guide lines as needed. Again, use pairs of curves, bulging at the joints. Encloses irregularly shaped hooves, complete with a “V” shaped opening.

Step 9

Use a series of “U” shaped lines to outline the deer tail. Draw a curved line down the neck and sides to indicate the color of the lower abdomen. Finally, draw ovals of different sizes on the deer’s back to indicate points.

Step 10

Color your deer. Most deer are brown. Some have white or black markings.
