Step 1
Start sketching the cartoon gymnast by drawing the girl’s face. Use a curved line to trace the shape of her nose and forehead.
Use a “U” shaped line to outline her eye and shade the oval pupil inside it. Draw short, arched eyebrows above the eyes.
Step 2
Draw the top of her head using a long, curved line. Then, use a series of overlapping curved lines to sketch her mouth, chin, jaw, and ears.
Wrap a flat, round shape at the back of your head, forming a hair elastic.
Step 3
Use a series of curved lines that meet at jagged points to draw the girl’s short ponytail. Then, use short curved lines to draw the hairline, outline the inside of the ear, and texture the hair.
Step 4
Extend two curved lines below the head to form the neck. From each side of it, extend curved lines to form the shoulders and chest.
From the chest, extend two long curved lines to sketch the arms and hands. Connect the lines using a wide “U” shaped line, defining the fingers and thumb.
Step 5
Use narrow “U” shaped lines to draw three more fingers between the thumb and index finger.
Extend an upward curved line from the opposite shoulder, with another series of lines parallel to it. Extend a curved line from the base of this arm, outlining the back of the torso.
Step 6
Extend a series of connected curved lines from the back and another from the chest, completing the torso, hips, and tops of the legs.
Draw “U” shaped lines around the neck and raise the arms. Draw the chest using a curved line.
Step 7
Use a series of overlapping curved lines to draw the hand and fingers. From either side of the ground, extend the curves to your hands, hugging your calves so your hands hug your ankles.
Step 8
From the hand, extend a curved line and duplicate it to enclose the foot.
Draw a curved line across the top of the leg, then extend two curved lines from the bottom of the torso to outline the other leg.
Step 9
Sketch the irregular shape of the foot, then use short lines to outline the ankles, knees, armpits, and collarbones.
Step 10
Your fitness sketch is now complete. Color your cartoon character. Color her hair, skin, and outfit as you see fit.
