Step 1

Start by sketching Prime’s head. Draw an irregular shape with a pointed chin and two points at the top. Draw a horizontal line and a vertical line across the head to enclose the different sections.

Step 2

Use a series of curved lines to enclose the irregular shape of the chest plate.

Step 3

Draw two irregular shapes within the chest plate, loosely parallel to its outline.

Step 4

Draw Prime’s torso. Use straight and curved lines to outline shapes. Then, draw a “V” shaped line across it. Draw two lines above and two lines below the “V”. Then, draw a parallelogram on one side of the shape.

Step 5

Draw Optimus’ arms. Use curved lines to sketch a series of five irregular shapes. Draw horizontal lines through the first and second shapes, and a rectangle in the first shape. Enclose another irregular shape above the first two. Band the wrist with lines and use straight lines and a “V” shape to detail the fist.

Step 6

Draw the remaining arm. Use straight and curved lines to enclose five irregular shapes. Draw a triangle on the top closest to the shoulder. Use curved lines to differentiate the fingers of the fist.

Step 7

Draw the upper leg, erasing guide lines if necessary. Use curved and straight lines to enclose the thigh. Draw an oval that overlaps the thighs and torso. Draw a curve on it.

Step 8

Draw the lower leg, erasing guide lines if necessary. Use curved and straight lines to sketch the basic shape of the leg. Draw an overlapping rectangle above and below the leg, forming the knee. Draw a line down one side of it to give it a three-dimensional appearance. Then, place the ovals and rectangles on the side of the legs. Draw a curved line across each oval. Finally, use curved lines to outline the details of the legs and feet. Draw a rectangle in the middle of the leg and outline it with straight lines.

Step 9

Use curved lines to enclose the irregular shapes of the remaining leg and foot.

Step 10
