Step 1
Sketch the teacher’s face and hair. Outline the face using a “U” shaped line. Use two curved lines to create a curl in the middle of the forehead. From each side of the buckle, extend another curved line. Allow this line to meet the top of the “U” and bend through it. Then, extend a short, curved line from this line to the face to form each ear. Use a large upside down “U” shaped line to outline the top of the hair, with shorter lines curving towards the face.
Step 2
Extend a couple of lines down from the face to form the neck. Connect the edges of your hair to your neck. Then, use a series of curved lines to outline the collar, shoulders, the back of each sleeve, and the sides of the garment.
Step 3
Use a series of curved lines to outline the sleeve covering the extension arm. Notice the small lines indicating the folds of the fabric at the bend of the elbow. Then use curved lines, “U” shaped lines, and small ovals to outline the grip.
Step 4
Draw a pair of lines extending from each side of the hand. Allow the upper lines to gradually meet at a point. Connect the divergent lower lines using a small oval. This forms the teacher’s pointer, which she uses to draw attention to the items on the blackboard.
Step 5

Step 1
To start your Christmas Tree drawing, we’ll start with the top of the tree. We will not be adding any decorations or details at this time.
To start, you can draw what looks like a curved triangle with the bottom curved inward.
The reference image is there to guide you, so if you follow the look of the image, your treetop will be finished in no time!
Step 2
Draw in the tree sequel
For this next step we will draw in the center part of your Christmas Tree drawing. Basically, you will draw something similar to the first step, but this time much longer.
You will draw two sections of the tree under the treetop and the reference image will give you an idea of how long you want these sections to be.
Step 3
Next, draw more trees
In the next step in this Christmas Tree tutorial, you will draw two more parts of the tree.
The first part will be quite long, as the tree will reach out. The last part will be much shorter but still extend outward.
Again, the reference image will be a great guide to how these final pieces should look.
Step 4
Now draw at the bottom of the tree and the trunk
For step 4 of the how to draw Christmas Tree tutorial, we will add the bottom part of the Christmas Tree.
To do this, you can draw along a curved, serrated line connecting the two bottoms of either side of the trunk. It will curve down a bit as you can see in the picture.
Once satisfied with how it looks, you can add two curved lines at the end for your Christmas Tree trunk. It’s really starting to take shape now!
Step 5
Next, you will add some small details
The main part of your Christmas Tree drawing is now complete, so in the next few steps we’ll add some details to finish it off!
The details in this step will be small and subtle, as we will add some small jagged lines inside the tree to make the tree appear to have depth.
Step 6
Next you will add more details
Every Christmas Tree needs a nice ornament on top to complete it, so we’ll add a star in this next step.
For this element you can draw a star like the one we see in the reference image, but if you have a favorite tree top ornament, you can draw it in there!
After you’ve drawn your tree topper, we’ll add some lines to the trunk of the Christmas Tree to give it a more woody look.
Step 7
Now draw decorations
Step #7 is going to be a lot of fun because we’ll be adding some fun decorations to your Christmas Tree drawing!
We’ve shown one way you can make decorations like the one in this picture, but here’s one step where you can really get creative.
You can paint your favorite decorations and even add details like glitter. Maybe you could decorate it to look like the last Christmas tree you have in your house.
Once you’re happy with the decorations, you can add in any final details that you think your Christmas tree drawing could use to make it look really nice!
Step 8
Now finish it with some color
Your awesome Christmas tree drawing is almost done and you just need some pretty colors to finish it off!

Step 1
For the first step in the tutorial on how to draw a bird, the first thing you will need is a light pencil to draw a medium sized circle.
We are using a pencil for this step as it will be a guide for us to keep the shape and perspective nice.
If you have trouble drawing a perfect circle by hand, there are tools like drawing compass that can help you draw a perfect circle easily.
Once you have your guide circle, use a darker ink or pencil to draw a small, triangular beak on the left hand side. Then, using your guide circle, carefully draw on the top of the head as you can see in the reference image.
Step 2
Draw at the beginning of the body
In this next step, we will draw the head of the bird’s body. For the bird’s chest, you can use three slightly curved lines extending down from the bottom of the beak to form the chest.
You can see what this would look like for your own bird drawing by referencing this helpful reference image.
Once you have drawn the ribcage, you can draw the bird’s back with another curved line.
Step 3
Next, draw the tail of the bird
For step 3 we will draw a nice tail for your bird drawing! The tail will be made up of a combination of straight and curved lines that join together.
For this step, I strongly recommend looking closely at the image to see how all the lines look and connect.
Step 4
Now draw the legs and beak
Your bird drawing is really starting to come together at this point, so now you’re going to add some little legs and the rest of the beak!
Let’s start with the beak first. To finish it off, simply draw a line down the middle of it, and then close it with a curved line.
Now, we will work on adding the legs. You can draw two lines close together to form one of the slim legs, and then repeat this for the other leg.
Finally, you can draw some curved toes and the back of the foot with some smaller lines.
Step 5
Next you will add the eyes and body details
In step 5 of the how to draw a bird tutorial, we will add in the eyes and some feather details. For the eyes, you can use a few small circles within the other as they appear in the image.
If that doesn’t work for you, you can also use a solid black dot or a circle with a small dot inside.
Now you can draw some feather detail using a combination of many wavy lines and smaller straight lines.
Here’s another step where I’ll take a very close look at the reference image for guidance on your first try.
As long as you follow the instructions and take it slow, I know you will perfectly manage your bird drawing stage!
Step 6
More wing and tail detail
You are almost done with your bird drawing at this point! For step number 6, we’ll add some fine lines to the wings and tail.
For this step, you don’t really need to track the exact reference image and can add these lines in a way that works for you. These lines are intended to give a smooth look to these parts of the bird.
Step 7
Now let’s draw the final details
You start this tutorial with one task: learn how to draw a bird. You are about to complete that mission with the next steps!
For this step you will be adding more lines to the chest and tail as you can see in the image. Finally, you can draw lots of small lines into the bird’s legs for a striking look.
Step 8
Finished with some color
With all drawings done, you’re almost done! However, there is only one final step and that is adding some nice color!

Step 1
Starting from the center of the paper, draw an oval to create the outline of the face. You can draw the shape of the face any way you want.
If you prefer a slimmer face, draw an elongated oval that resembles an upside down egg to give the illusion of a longer face.
On the contrary, if you want the face to look rounder, emphasize the roundness of the cheeks.
Step 2
Draw ears
On both sides of the face, draw a pair of ears. You can draw the ears however you like: round, pointed, square or any shape you want.
Here’s a handy tip: To draw the ears evenly, you can draw reference lines around the entire face. This will be your guide on where to draw the ears.
Step 3
Add hair to the face
Now it’s time to add hair to your drawing. You can style your hair as long or short, as thick or thin as you like. What’s more, you can even embellish it with any accessories, such as headbands, hairpins, and more.
When drawing hair for female characters, keep in mind that girls often have narrower and shorter foreheads than boys. So the hairline should not be too far from the eyebrows. Also, don’t forget to add volume to your hair by leaving enough space between your head and hair.
Step 4
Next, Draw Eyes
Draw two even circles for the eyes. You can draw reference lines on the face and use it as a guide to ensure that the eyes are drawn to the same extent.
Within the circle, draw two more circles inside the outline. This time, fill it with shading to easily identify it as the pupil of the eye. When shading the pupil, leave a small unobstructed circle to give the eye a dramatic effect and make it look like it’s sparkling.
Needless to say, you can draw the eyes any way you want. There are six different eye shapes: almond-shaped, upturned, hooded, monolid, drooping, and round.
When drawing eyes, always keep in mind that women usually have wider and more open eyes than men. Finally, don’t forget to add a few lashes above your eyes
Step 5
Then draw the nose
Draw an inverted curved line below the eye, right in the center. This will be the first part of the nose.
The position you draw the nose wing will determine the shape of the nose long or short. If you want the nose to look short, draw it close to the eyes. Conversely, if you want it to look longer, draw it down a bit deeper.
Step 6
Have a bright smile on your face
Give your drawing an expression or emotion by adding a big smile. Below the nose, draw an inverted curve similar to the previous step. This time, however, it will be relatively larger.
Don’t hesitate to draw its mouth however you want! You can also open your mouth wide, almost showing your drawing smiling. To do this, you simply draw a horizontal line with a curved line at the bottom. When drawn correctly, it should look like a sideways letter “D”.
Step 7
Next, Add an Eyebrow
Just above each eye, draw an arched eyebrow. In general, girls have thinner and more curved eyebrows than boys. So be sure to consider that when you draw your eyebrows.
Don’t be afraid to experiment with the shape and thickness of your brows as you like. Just keep in mind that the form of your eyebrows greatly affects your character’s facial expression.

Add blush to cheeks
A girl’s face wouldn’t be complete without a little blush. Blush will make your drawing look more feminine and it will also add emotion to your character’s face.
To add a subtle blush effect, simply draw two ovals to the sides on the cheeks. Hold it a little further from the nose to make it look more natural.

Step 9
Add details and texture to the hair

Step 1
Starting on the right side of your paper, draw a long, thin pointed shape to create a hummingbird bill.
One of the hummingbird’s most distinctive features is its long, pointed beak. Essentially, the beak acts as a protective covering for its tongue, which is what hummingbirds use to collect nectar from a flower.
Step 2
Draw a hummingbird’s crown
The crown is essentially the top of the hummingbird’s head. Outline the top of your hummingbird’s head by simply drawing a curved line starting at its top.
When drawn correctly, the line should look like a downward sloping line, as shown in the illustration.
Don’t forget to add plumes on the surface of the border to make your bird look more realistic!
Step 3
Complete sketch of hummingbird’s head
Create your hummingbird’s chin by drawing a line down starting at the bottom of the beak.
Then, contour your hummingbird’s head by drawing multiple connecting curves at the bottom, forming soft tufts of feathers.
Step 4
Now, Draw the Chest of the Hummingbird
Draw a curved line down starting from below the hummingbird’s chin. Then, repeat the same steps until the contour extends all the way to the belly.
Remember to avoid pressing down too hard with the pencil. This step uses light hand paint to create natural thick to thin strokes. Light strokes will help make your hummingbird’s body feathers look natural.
Step 5
Draw the bottom of the hummingbird’s tail
Draw a curved line starting from the bottom of your hummingbird’s body.
Then add some more curves near the end of the line we drew earlier to create the appearance of feathers.
Step 6
Perfecting the hummingbird’s tail
The tail structure protrudes from the end of the hummingbird’s body. The tail can be created by drawing multiple spikes on top of each other until you achieve the desired shape.
As shown in the illustration, we have drawn a closed tail. However, you can draw a fan or open tail for your hummingbird. Draw the tail however you like. Up to you!
Step 7
Draw one of the hummingbird wings
Draw a straight upward diagonal starting from the hummingbird’s crown. Then draw several feathers side by side on the bottom part of the wing.
Once completed, the shape of the wing will resemble a slender diagonal triangle.
We think a hummingbird’s wings look best when it’s outstretched. So that’s what we drew in the illustration. However, you can completely paint its wings any way you like.
You can either make the wings completely still on the side of the hummingbird’s body or make it slightly upward.
Step 8
Then Draw Another Wing of the Hummingbird
Repeat the previous step on the opposite side.
Since the hummingbird is placed in a tilted position, only the top of its remaining wings will be visible, as shown in the illustration.
Step 9
Add eyes to complete the drawing
Draw a perfect little circle on the top of the head. Then draw a small circle inside the eye.
Then, shade the entire lid except for the small inner circle to make the eyes look like they’re sparkling, making your hummingbird look even cuter!
As you can see, the hummingbird is finally done! All that’s missing is a bunch of colors to make your hummingbird eye-catching!
