How To Draw An Astronaut with this how-to video and step-by-step drawing instructions. Easy animals to draw for beginners and kids.
Please see the drawing tutorial in the video below
You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below
Step 1
Start by drawing a circle. This will help you sketch out the astronaut’s head.
Step 2
Draw curved lines on the outside of the circle, forming an outline like a highly rounded rectangle.
Step 3
Remove the remaining guide lines from the circle.
Step 4
Draw a curved rectangle below the astronaut’s head. This will form the body. Below the body, draw two diagonal lines. Between these lines, draw an upside down “V”. Connect the lines using short, curved lines to form the astronaut’s legs.
Step 5
Add details to suit the space. Draw a set of curved, parallel lines on each leg to indicate the knee. Then, draw an irregular shape at the bottom of the leg, rounded on top and flatter on the bottom. These shapes form the astronaut’s feet.
Step 6
Add details to the body of the space suit. Draw a straight, horizontal line in the center and attach it to the sides using curved lines. Draw three small circles below this line. From two of the circles, extend the set of curves, parallel to the edges of the space suit. Create the enclosing shape using short and curved lines.
Step 7
Erase the sides of the body of the space suit closest to the helmet.
Step 8
Draw a curved line below the helmet to indicate the neck, then draw the arms. Draw a long and curved line from the bottom of the helmet. When this line reaches the waist, extend outward then fold in half, forming hands. Use another curved line to outline the thumb and underside of the arm. Repeat on the double side.
Step 9
Draw a rounded square, smaller within the helmet’s bounds. Draw a small oval and an irregular curved shape on one side to represent the glass. Sketch a rectangle behind the cosmonaut; this is his life support device. Draw a small circle on each side. Finally, draw a curved line on each arm to separate the glove from the suit.
Step 10
Color your astronaut. Nowadays, most of the countries use long white suits, but get creative!
