How To Draw A Cheshire Cat Easy

Please see the drawing tutorial in the video below

You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below

    Step 1

As we mentioned in this Cheshire Cat drawing tutorial introduction, he is perhaps best known for his grin.

It just seems fitting that we start this guide with that aspect! To draw his grin, start with a rather long curve.

Then draw another line running parallel below it, and then connect the two with some lines at the corner of the mouth. Then draw a series of lines inside the mouth for the teeth.

Then above this mouth you can draw two circles for your eyes and then add some pupils inside.

Sometimes the Cheshire Cat’s body will disappear leaving only its eyes and mouth, so you can technically stop here!

However, we will draw the rest of his body, so you can complete the face with his rounded nose and some beard.

    Step 2

    Next, start sketching his face
Now that you’ve drawn his face, you can start contouring your Cheshire Cat drawing in this next step.

First, use some circles for contour around his mouth. We will then use a series of smaller serrated lines joining this mouth contour for the general contour of his head.

You can also add his small and round ears side by side on top of his head.

Once you’ve copied his head outline as it appears in the reference image, you can move on to step 3.

    Step 3

    Draw his front legs
We’ll start drawing the body in this step of the Cheshire Cat tutorial. use some curves for his feet below the head he’s leaning his face on.

Then you can use some more rounded lines for the outline of chubby legs below him.

Another iconic aspect of the design for this Cheshire Cat incarnation is the stripes all over his body, so you can start drawing some stripes on his legs in this section.

    Step 4

Now draw the body for the Cheshire Cat
We can now add the body to your Cheshire Cat drawing in this step. The cat has a large, chubby body, and we’ll start with an outline for it in this section.

First, extend a circle back from the top side and down.

Then draw a shorter circle extending from his legs back and then connect it to the larger line you drew for his upper body.

Once you’ve drawn the body contour as it appears in our reference image, you’ll be ready to add the final details and elements in the next step, so move on when you’re ready!

    Step 5

    Complete your Cheshire Cat drawing
What would a Cheshire cat be without her special tail? “Unfinished” would be the answer to that question and we don’t want that!

For that reason, we’ll be adding the tail along with some final strokes in this step of the Cheshire Cat tutorial.

This cat’s tail is large and fluffy, and we’ll keep that exact in this drawing. Start by extending a line from the back of the body and bending up into a point.

Then, draw the remaining tail that connects to the body.

Don’t forget to add some circles along the tail for more stripes! This character is also often seen hanging his tail from a tree, so for more fun you can draw a branch and have his tail curl around it.

That’s just an idea of how you can personalize this photo, but what else could you think of to complete it?

    Step 6

Complete your Cheshire Cat drawing with some color
Now we come to the final step of your Cheshire Cat drawing! The version of the cat we drew in this tutorial is from the Disney cartoon and we used the same characters as the cat that appeared in that movie.

How To Draw A Cherries Easy | Fruits drawing step by step

How To Draw A Cherries with this how-to video and step-by-step drawing instructions. Easy drawing tutorial for beginners and kids.

How To Draw A Cherries Easy

Please see the drawing tutorial in the video below

You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below

    Step 1

For this tutorial on how to draw a cherry, we’ll start with the two cherries themselves.

Cherries look simple on the surface, but getting them to look right is harder than you think!

To draw these little fruits, you will use two curved circles over them. They will appear almost but not completely round, as they have a flatter bottom than round ones.

They also have a dip at the top where the stems will connect. Speaking of that area, remember to leave a little space there as we will draw the trunk later

    Step 2

Paint some details for your cherry drawing
This part of your cherry drawing should be pretty simple! All you need to do for this step is draw two curved lines, one for each cherry.

These curves should go just below the gap at the top of the cherry that you left in the previous step.

That’s all there is to this step, so now we’re ready to move on!

    Step 3

Now you can add some branches to your cherries
You’ll see why we left those little gaps on the cherries in this step of the cherry drawing tutorial!

This step is not too complicated, but it may take a little firmness. Carefully draw two lines from the top of the cherry on the right and bend them into the shape you see in our reference image.

They should be fairly close together, as the cherry stalks are very thin. Once you’ve finished drawing that trunk, you can then draw another trunk from the cherry on the left.

This will extend up and connect to the stem for the right cherry.

    Step 4

    More cherry leaves
Your drawing of cherries is really coming out in a unique way! In this section we will add some leaves to the stem of the cherry.

These leaves will go near the top of the stem, and will be drawn with two curved lines that meet at a point. They may look a bit bare for now, but we’ll add more detail to them in the next step!

    Step 5

Now you can add the final details of your cherry drawing
This step of our cherry drawing tutorial is about adding the final details and strokes that the drawing needs before the final step.

The main aspect of this step is to draw a center line through the leaves from the previous step.

Then, once you have that line, you can draw several smaller lines branching from that center line to show the veins of the leaf.

Those final details mean your cherry drawing is ready for the final step! Before proceeding, however, you should feel free to add any additional details you like to your painting.

They can include small details like light reflecting off cherries to display these cherries on a plate alongside some other fruit.

    Step 6

Finish your cherry drawing with some color
That brings us to the final step of your cherry drawing! Now that your cherries are painted, you can have fun coloring them.

How To Draw A Flower Crown with this how-to video and step-by-step drawing instructions. Easy drawing tutorial for beginners and kids.

How To Draw A Flower Crown Easy Step By Step

Please see the drawing tutorial in the video below

You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below

    Step 1

As you can imagine, we’ll be drawing several flowers in this flower crown tutorial! With that in mind, we’ll start this tutorial by drawing some flowers.

All these flowers will have the same design, and to draw it we will start with a circle. The circle doesn’t have to be perfect, so feel free to draw it!

Once you have that circle, use some curved lines around it for the petals and add an inner line of each circle.

Then we’ll add some more curves to the leaves next to it and then you can draw another flower that’s a bit thinner due to the angle.

    Step 2

Next, draw some more flowers for the crown
We will continue to add some more flowers in this part of your flower crown drawing. First, you can draw another flower that looks very similar to the previous flower to the left of that flower.

This one will also have some leaves on the side, and you can leave a small space on the petal on the bottom left.

That’s because another flower will overlap it later. We will also add a new element in this step.

This element will be a small stem with lots of small leaves on it, so just use a slight curve with lots of little circles on it for some of these stems.

Then move on to step 3!

    Step 3

Draw the strip of the flower crown
The flowers on the flower crown will always be attached to some kind of headband so it can sit on your head without falling off.

We’ll draw that strip in this step of the flower crown tutorial.

You can draw this using two closely spaced curved lines extending from the leaves on the right hand side of the crown.

There will be a gap on the left side of the strip, as more flowers will be attached there in a future step.

    Step 4

Now draw another flower for the crown
We will continue to add to your floral crown drawing in this fourth step. To do this, all you need to do is add one of those flowers to the left of the crown.

This flower will also have some leaves next to it like the other flowers did. Once you’ve finished drawing that flower and the accompanying leaves, we can finalize the details in the next step!

    Step 5

    Finish your flower crown drawing
Our fifth step on how to draw a flower crown will perfect the final details and elements of the image.

There’s only a small space between the ribbon and the last flower you drew in the last step, so you can finish by painting some more leaves and buds.

    Step 6

    Step 8

Erase the overlapping lines, allowing a small portion of the top of each circle to remain within your new shape.

    Step 9

Next, use curved lines to form the closest front leg. Start in the middle of the shape, slightly to the right of the center. The lines will curve towards each other before reaching a point at the foot. A small line in this shape indicates the toes. For the far leg, draw a triangle that doesn’t meet at the top. Using five curved lines, form three toes that extend to the right and end at a point.

    Step 10

    Erase the closer leg cross.

    Step 11

Add feather detail using short curved lines that connect into jagged points.

    Step 12

Remove the guides from the proximal leg and the large circle on the back.

    Step 13

To draw the hind legs, start with two curved lines. One will extend from the middle left of the big circle. The other will extend from the center of the great circle to its bottom. Connect two curved lines using short lines to create a ruffled detail. To form the foot, extend a loose s-curve from the serrated line to the right. To form the toe, use four curved lines in the shape of an “M”. Use another curve to connect the other line to the rat’s stomach.

    Step 14

Remove the curved guide line from the rear foot.

    Step 15

To draw the base of the tail, start by drawing a curved line from the center left of the figure to the bottom. Use some short strokes to create a jagged detail. Connect this to the back leg using a curved line.

    Step 16

Draw the tail using two long and curved lines. They will start on each side of the base of the tail and curve to the right, ending below the front paws. The curves must meet at a blunt point. Then use seven short, curved lines to add texture to the tail. These lines should run from the left tail line to the right, ending just before meeting the right tail line.

    Step 17

Each ear consists of two curves. For closer to the ear, overlay an irregular, partial circle on top of the second circle you drew. The circle should be open at the bottom right. Draw a similar, smaller circle inside it. For the far ear, draw a short, upside-down hook that opens to the right side and extends from the top right of the second original circle. Draw another hook facing the left side, connecting the end of the first hook to the end of the mouse.

    Step 18

Draw the eye just below and to the right of the distal ear. Draw a nose at the tip of the muzzle – it will look like an upside down, rounded triangle.

    Step 19

Draw another circle within the eye circle. Use six nearly straight lines to draw the beard, extending from the nose to the bottom.

    Step 20

Erase the guide lines in the proximal ear. Shade the area between the eye bags.

    Step 21

    Color your cartoon mouse.

How To Draw An Orange Slice with this how-to video and step-by-step drawing instructions. Easy drawing tutorial for beginners and kids.

How To Draw An Orange Slice

Please see the drawing tutorial in the video below

You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below

    Step 1

There will be two types of fruit in our drawing of an orange – one whole, the other chopped. Therefore, we will draw two circles; one should be in the front and stack the one in the back. It will look something like this.

    Step 2

    orange drawing
Now let’s add the details that will allow us to understand what each orange is. Add a stem for the orange in the background, and draw a smaller oval in the front circle; it will show the cut line.

    Step 3

    orange drawing
Next, in the center of the oval, we begin to draw the cut orange slices. They are roughly the same size and shape.

    Step 4

    orange drawing
At this stage, to make the drawing more interesting, draw some orange leaves. Both are behind the orange.

    Step 5

We are almost done drawing the orange. Now all that remains is to color. For fruit drawings, you should use watercolors, markers or colored pencils. I used succulent shades of orange mixed with red and yellow, and I painted the leaves and stems green. If you want, you can add a shadow on the table with fruit.

As you can see, it’s simple to draw an orange; even a child with no art experience can handle it. Try our other lessons.

How To Draw A Lizard Easy Step By Step

Please see the drawing tutorial in the video below

You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below

    Step 1

When drawing an animal, starting at its head and working your way towards its legs is key. So that’s exactly what we’re going to do in this step.

Draw the outline of the lizard’s head where you want it to face forward. For example, if you want it to face the left side, then draw a border on the left side of your paper, as shown in the illustration.

    Step 2

    Sketching a lizard’s head
Extend the lines of the outline that we drew in the previous step to fully structure the head of the lizard. Don’t forget to draw an overlapping line on the bottom inside of the head to create the distinct pointed mouth of the lizard.

Remember, both the upper lip and lower lip of the lizard should be slightly pointed. Use the illustration as a guide to help you form your lizard’s mouth quickly and easily.

    Step 3

Create a rough sketch of the lizard’s body
Draw an oblong oval attached to the lizard’s head to outline its body. In the meantime, don’t hesitate to draw various shapes and patterns on the surface of the lizard’s skin if you’re feeling a little more artistic! Did you know that some lizards have distinct patterns printed on their skin?

Avoid pressing down too hard with the pencil when drawing the outline. It is important to sketch with light strokes so that you can easily erase some unnecessary lines from the outline later.

    Step 4

Now let’s draw a tail attached to the body
To structure the lizard’s tail, draw a narrow, elongated shape with a pointed end sticking out of the bottom back of the lizard’s body.

Remember that the tail should be thick at the top and thinner and thinner at the top, as shown in the illustration.

    Step 5

Then draw the right hind leg of the lizard
Structure the right hind leg of the lizard by drawing an angled line with four toes visible at the bottom. Make sure to draw the legs at a 45-degree angle to look like a crawling lizard.

Lizards typically have five toes on each foot. But in this case, only its four toes are visible. Remember that each toe of the right foot has rounded tips, similar to the illustration above.

    Step 6

Now draw the left hind leg of the lizard
Now, draw the hind leg on the opposite side by drawing a curved line with three visible toes attached to it.

Since the lizard is drawn to the side, its right hind leg will not be fully visible, as shown in the illustration.

    Step 7

Next, Draw the left front leg of the lizard
Draw another leg in front of the lizard’s body. Similar to the back leg we drew in the previous step, the right leg is at a 45 degree angle.

This time, however, the angle of the right foot should point towards the right, as shown in the illustration above.

    Step 8

Complete all four legs of the lizard
On the opposite side, draw a curved triangle above the space between the lizard’s head and body.

How To Draw A Koi Fish Step By Step

Please see the drawing tutorial in the video below

You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below

    STEP 1:

    FIRST, FIND YOUR REFERENCE PHOTO
Before we start drawing, it’s important to take some time to research the koi and decide what type you want to illustrate. There are several types of koi, so it helps if you have a pattern that you can cite if you get stuck. This is mainly to help with anatomy, so you will still have the opportunity to personalize your koi illustration according to the template.

    STEP 2:

Fish are flexible animals, so it will help you to start drawing koi with a curved line. Think about how they move through the water and sketch a line based on that. Next, draw a long oval body around the first line, making sure that it tapers off considerably as you get to the end.

With the body in place, you can focus your attention on the head, which will be the oldest part of the koi. The boundary of this section is by a small line forming a V in the center. Then sketch a pair of round eyes that slightly protrude from the koi’s head. Take a moment to check your reference photo, and if necessary, lengthen the fish’s nose as I did below. Finally, you can give the koi two wavy antennae.

    STEP 3:

    ADDED AMOUNT AND AMOUNT
Next, it’s time to add tails and fins to your koi. If you are drawing butterfly koi, these appendages will be long and flowing. Start drawing the fins where you drew the line of the head. Let them extend next to the body to a point before ending the line with a tapered “V”. Then, start the dorsal fin in the middle of the body and make a thin, wavy rectangle that ends near the tail. Depending on the angle of your koi, you can also add an anal fin to one side of the dorsal fin. Check with your reference photo if you have trouble distinguishing the appendages.

    STEP 4:

    COMPLETE DETAILS
Since this tutorial will cover how to draw a koi in black and white, it’s important that you make up for the lack of color with textures. This is much easier than it sounds, and just requires a little patience. For example, you can complete a koi’s tail and fins by drawing long, wavy lines that are more or less parallel to each other. It’s okay if they’re uneven — the pattern will still give the desired effect after it’s fully filled in.

You can finish the body in a variety of ways, but here I chose to layer it with scales. This is similar to the process I used to draw a dragon, where you carefully draw rows of semi-circles on top of each other until you reach the tail. I’ve kept the scales quite large here, but feel free to experiment with your scales. Many koi also have patterned skin, which you can color black now or later with crayons or markers.

    STEP 5:

    TRAVEL THROUGH DRAWING INK
Once you’re satisfied with your sketch, it’s time to find your favorite pen and review the ink drawing. Different pens will produce different effects, so keep that in mind when making your selection. For example, a brush pen will give the koi a more expressive effect, while a fine-line pen will create a more even look. However, if you have a collection of slimline pens with different nib sizes, you can switch to a smaller pen for a more precise texture.

After you’ve drawn all the lines on the pen, set the drawing aside to give the ink plenty of time to dry. Then, use an eraser to gently remove any remaining pencil marks. Congratulations! You drew your own koi fish.

How To Draw Dragon Fruit with this how-to video and step-by-step drawing instructions. Easy drawing tutorial for beginners and kids.

How To Draw Dragon Fruit Easy Step By Step

Please see the drawing tutorial in the video below

You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below

    Step 1.

Start outlining the dragon fruit by drawing the scales that cover the outside of the fruit. Use curves that meet at points to draw scale. Note that one of the scales is completely closed while the other is open at the bottom.

    Step 2.

Draw more dragon scales, using pairs of curves that meet at a point. You should also notice that these scales outline the teardrop shape of the fruit.

    Step 3.

Draw more dragon fruit scales, connect the two parts. For each scale, use two curves that meet at the same points

    Step 4.

Add additional scales to the center of the fruit. For each scale, use a pair of curves that meet at points.

    Step 5.

Start drawing another piece of dragon fruit. Use a curved line to outline the bottom of the fruit. On one side, enclose a graduated scale using lines that meet at a point. Fill in the flakes on the original fruit if needed.

    Step 6.

The second part of the fruit has been cut open to reveal what’s inside. Indicate the cross section by drawing a large oval. Draw another dragon fruit scale on the side, using curved lines that meet at one point.

    Step 7.

Draw another oval inside the original oval, to distinguish the flesh of the fruit from the skin. Draw more scales on both pieces of fruit, using pairs of curves that meet at points.

    Step 8.

Shade a small oval on the surface of the cut fruit, indicating the presence of seeds. Detail the scales of that fruit by banding them with curved lines.

    Step 9.

Finish your dragon fruit outline by banding the scales of the original fruit with curved lines.

    Step 10

Color your animated dragon fruit. This exotic fruit is usually bright pink and green in color. Some have yellow skin. The inner flesh of the fruit is usually white, red, or purple.
