Step 1

Step 1 – Draw the Female Head
To help you ensure that both sides of the head will be the same width and that the facial features in the following steps are evenly spaced, start your drawing by first creating a vertical line across center of your drawing area. Next, draw a circle for the top of the head and from there project two straight lines to the jaw area, then curl inward and down again at a more acute angle to eventually curve the chin.
Since this is a woman’s face, for this tutorial we will make the chin quite small and narrow.
Step 2 – Refine the shape of the head
For this step, you can slightly adjust the shape of the top of the head as it is usually not a perfect half circle. You can also add a little more cheekbones.
After doing those, you can go ahead and delete the circle guide but leave the midline.
Step 3 – Allocate the face
To create tutorials for the first set of facial features, divide the face into four parts using horizontal lines. Step 9 – Draw facial features

Step 10 – Draw the contour of the hair
The way you draw your hair will vary depending on your hairstyle. For this particular example, the hair will essentially be divided into two main shapes going from the parting line. Since more hair is flipped to the left side of the drawing, the shape will be larger than the one on the right.
Step 11 – Draw hair details
To add details to the hair, draw some lines that flow from the parting line down along the shape of the hair. Add some other lines still in the general direction of the hair in various positions along the overall shape of the hair. Try and vary them in their lengths and distances from each other.
Step 12 – Draw eyelashes
Draw individual eyelashes with slightly different spacing between each eyelash but at the same time try to create a fairly even overall distribution. Lashes tend to grow more toward the outer half of the eye (away from the nucleus). The hairs of the eyelashes are arranged in a fan shape following the curled shape of the eyelids. Step 1
Start off by sketching Hatsune’s face. Use a “V” shaped curve for the cheeks and chin. Then, use pairs of long strings that meet at sharp points to form strands of hair.
Step 2
Draw a long, curved line to form the top of the head. Then use complementary lines that meet at sharp points. Draw two lines below the head to form the neck.
Step 3
Use a curve to surround a rounded shape on one side of the face. Then, draw a narrow rectangle above the head. From each corner, draw lines that attach the rectangle to the head. Then, draw some lines down the center of each shape.
Step 4
Draw a square inside a square that overlaps the face of the head. Delete previous lines if necessary. Connect two squares, drawing lines between their corners. Line each side of the squares with lines along their length. Then, draw a curve from square to neck, completing the shape of the head.
Step 5
Draw two curved triangles below the neck to form the collar. Draw lines parallel to the outer edges. Sketch a circle between the triangles to form the tie’s knot. Then stretch a pair of curves to form lanyards.
Step 6
Use curves to draw shoulders and body. Draw a wavy line along each shoulder and tie it with short lines. Draw a narrow rectangle above the chest and draw a curve below it, indicating a pocket.
Step 7
Extend the curves from each shoulder to form arms. On one arm, draw curves to denote the material of the sleeve. Draw circles and lines above it. As for the other way, do something similar, this time stretching the lines downwards to denote the elongated and flowing material of the sleeve. Use curves and a “U” shape to draw the clenched hand.
Step 8
Draw curves, extending from the center of each square, erasing as needed. This forms long braids.
Step 9
Hatsune’s face details. On one side of the face, draw a small rectangle containing lines and dots. Draw more strands if needed. Use curves to shape the mouth, nose, and eyebrows. Use curves and circles in circles to draw expressive anime eyes.
Step 10
Hatsune Miku color. She has blue hair and blue eyes.
