You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below
Step 1
Start by drawing a circle. This will form the head of the bear.
Step 2
Draw two smaller circles, one at the top of the original circle. They will form the bear’s ears. Inside each ear, sketch a circle using a series of short, curved, overlapping lines. This details the inside of the ear and gives it a feathery appearance.
Step 3
Draw a heart. Let the top of the heart overlap the bottom of the head.
Step 4
Remove the guide line from the heart.
Step 5
Draw an oval overlapping the heart. This will form the bear’s paws. Note that short lines have been used on one side to give it a furry appearance. Using a series of curved lines, sketch on the arms. Note the curves that form the bend of the elbow. Remove guide lines if necessary.
Step 6
Outline another oval above and behind the heart, forming the other leg. Again, note the lines of overlapping feathers. Use a long line for the arms and shoulders. Notice the short lines showing the hair near the neck.
Step 7
Draw two more furry circles, representing the bear’s paws. Connect them with a long and curved line. Then, use short lines to show the joints of the legs to the body of the bear.
Step 8
Sketch a furry circle at the bottom of the head. This will be the bear’s muzzle. Draw a curved, inverted triangle at the tip of the muzzle, forming the nose. Add shadow to the nose using a small oval. Draw a line from the nose down and connect it into a large “U” shaped smile. For each eye, draw a small circle around a smaller circle and shade between the eyes. Finally, use short lines to indicate the fur near the top of the head.
Step 9
Draw a streak of short lines parallel to the outline of the heart, stitching only. Write the words “I Love You” on the heart.

Step 10
Color your bear. The teddy bears were originally brown, but today they can resemble black bears, polar bears, raccoons, or even rainbow colors. Hearts, too, are often depicted in pink or red, but the choice is yours.
