Step 1
Start by drawing a curve. This line will be the top of Pikachu’s head.
Step 2
Spread one line down from each side of your first line. Curve the lines slightly outward.
Step 3
Connect two lines with a curve. The result will look like an irregular circle.
Step 4
Draw the body with a long curve. This line will attach to each side of the bottom of the irregular circle.
Step 5
Draw a curve at the bottom of the body, in shape.
Step 6
Delete guides from the bottom of the shape.
Step 7
Draw Pikachu’s arm. For the left arm, draw an oval that overlaps both the body and the head. For the right arm, draw a curve that extends from the head to the middle of the body.
Step 8
To shape the foot, draw an oval extending from each side of the lower body.
Step 9
Detail the foot with the toes, draw two slight curves at the ends of each foot.
Step 10
Next, add the fingers to Pikachu’s hand. At the end of each hand, draw a zigzag line.
Step 11
Remove the guide lines from the limits of arms, hands and feet.
Step 12
Draw Pikachu’s right ear using two curves. These lines will extend up from the right side of the head, ending at a point.
Step 13
Draw Pikachu’s left ear to one side. The ear will consist of two curves, extending upwards and to the left, from the left side of the head. The ear will end at one point.
Step 14
Draw a curved, inclined curve near the top of each ear. Draw an oval on each cheek.
Step 15
To form the tail, draw a zigzag pattern consisting of five lines. The lines near the body will be shorter, increasing in length as they near the end of the tail.
Step 16
Draw a similar zigzag line below the first line. The lines should be closer together near the base of the tail, farther apart at the end.
Step 17
Connect two lines at the tail with a line at the end.
Step 18
Now you will draw the face. Draw a circle for each eye above the cheeks. For the mouth, draw a very loose “W” in the center of the face. Connect a large “U” shaped line to the bottom of the letter “W.”
Step 19
Add some details to your drawing. Draw a smaller circle at the top of each eye to form the pupil. For the nose, place a dot above the center of the letter “W.” Create the tongue inside the mouth using a slightly curved line. Add a horizontal zigzag pattern to the base of the tail.
Step 20
Finally, color your Pikachu. Pikachu is usually bright yellow with a black ear tip, red cheeks, pink tongue, and brown at the base of the tail.
