Manny Pacquiao vs. Keith Thurman, billed as Welterweight Supremacy, was a boxing match for the WBA (Super) welterweight championship. he event took place on July 20, 2019 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

According to official information Manny Pacquiao will receive a bonus of 10 million dollars for his fight later today. Of course, after the match ended, he would probably get more than that.
For Thurman, who had just returned to the ring after a hiatus, he received $2.5 million for his encounter with Pacman. Although he also expected to receive the million dollar figure before. Thurman will defend his WBA (Super) welterweight title today and begin the biggest fight of his career.

Pacquiao won the WBA (Super) heavyweight title against Thurman through a split decision and became the oldest weightlifter to win the biggest title in boxing history.  Late in the first half, Pacquiao caught Thurman with his right hand and knocked him down, as Thurman was moving backwards after a punch to Pacquiao’s head and torso. Rounds one through five are too classic for Pacquiao as he nibbled Thurman’s nose and forced him into a very intense fight. Thurman appeared to have regained his composure in the mid-rounds, adjusting to Pacquiao fouling in the second half and possibly catching him with some tough shots. However, Pacquiao would catch Thurman again in the tenth round, this time with a vicious left hook to the body that sent Thurman moving around the ring, trying to survive the round. Thurman was visibly traumatized and later admitted, “The body shot was a great body shot. I even took the mouthpiece out of my mouth so I could breathe a little deeper.” Two the arbitrator ruled in favor of Pacquiao with a score of 115-112 and one in favor of Thurman with a score of 114-113. Many, including Pacquiao, felt that his first-round knockdown and tenth-round body shot helped him win.
According to CompuBox, Thurman is the more accurate and superior boxer than Pacquiao. Pacquiao only landed 113 of his 340 power punches (33%) compared to 192 of Thurman’s 443 power punches (43%). Pacquiao is the busier fighter and has a 100+ punch difference than Thurman. Total punch stats are 195 out of 686 (28%) for Pacquiao and 210 out of 571 (37%) for Thurman.
With the win, Pacquiao also became the first boxer to become a four-time recognized welterweight champion, surpassing Jack Britton and Emile Griffith.
