Step 1
Start with a small circle with guides through it to place facial features.
Draw the beak… you can draw a ‘T’ shape (I marked it in blue)… and then draw 2 curved lines around it.
Step 2
Draw a capsule shape connected by an “L” line at the top. That line would be Fearow’s crooked neck. Add a rounded triangle in the back for the tail.
Step 3
Draw some flat paddle-like shapes at the bottom for the feet. If you have trouble drawing them, you will notice that they can be made by drawing a shape like the number 2 and a question mark shape… and another line.
Step 4
Draw two large bunny ears at the top for the wings. I showed you above that there are basic shapes that make up these wings and a U.
Step 5
Add some spiky hair so he pulls it up on top. Draw a small “V” inside his mouth for his tongue.
Step 6
Outline the guide line we drew for her in one of the first steps. Add some feathers at the base of the neck.
Step 7
Draw some lines on the tail to define the feathers (basically shapes like the letter ‘L’). Draw three toes on the foot… the claws of the right foot should be drawn in the shape of an ‘M’.
Step 8
Add some feather detail to the wings. Remember that Fearow has two coats of feathers on her wings.
Add eyes, erase your guide lines and you’re done!
I forgot to tell you to draw an oval in the eye area for the pupil.
