Step 1

Step 1:
Draw a circle near the top of the paper as a guide for the rainbow lorikeet’s upper body. First mark four points to determine the height and width of the circle. Then connect the marks using curved lines. If you’re having trouble drawing a circle, just trace the outer edge of a circular object like a coin or a lid. Step 2:
On the top left, draw another circle using the four-point method as a guide for the lorikeet’s head. This circle should be half the size of the first circle. The edges of the two circles will touch each other.
Step 3:
Inside the head, draw two intersecting lines to help you shape the rainbow lorikeet’s facial features later.
Step 4:
Draw two short curved lines connecting the two circles to create a guide for the bird’s neck. Add a guide to the lower part of the body by first making a small mark on the lower right. Connect the mark to the first circle using two long curved lines to create a large arc for the lower half of the lorikeet’s body.
Step 5:
At the bottom of the arc, draw a downward sloping line to the left as a guide for the lorikeet’s feet. Near the middle, draw a curved line to the right for the toe. On the left, add a similar line for the bird’s other leg.
Step 6:
Below the body, draw two long lines meeting at the bottom as guides for the rainbow lorikeet’s tail. The tail guide should be wide at the top and gradually thinner at the bottom.

Step 7:
Use the original lines as a guide to place a small circle inside the head for the rainbow lorikeet’s eyes. Inside the circle, off to one side, draw a small circle to highlight. Above the beak, draw a short curved line for the structure called the ce. Within the shape of the cere, draw a small circle for the lorikeet’s nostrils. Below the top beak, draw a short line curved to the right for the bottom half of the bird’s beak. At first, sketch lightly and then darken the lines. Draw a series of short strokes along the right edge to make the feather base.
Step 10:
Use the original circle as a guide to draw the rest of the bird’s head. Above the beak, draw a line that sticks out beyond the edge of the circle as the front part of the head. Below the beak, draw a line that curves inward more than the original circle for the throat. Use a series of short strokes along the circle on the right side to create the fur on the back of the head. Add a few short strokes inside the head and along the bottom edge of the circle for more detail in the rainbow lorikeet’s fur.
Step 11:
Lightly sketch a very long curved line along the right side of the entire body for the rainbow lorikeet’s folded wings. Once you’ve got the right shape and length, darken it. At the top, place this line away from the body and slowly curve it closer to the edge along the bottom. The wing tip at the bottom should protrude slightly from the body shape. Darken the right edge of the guide for the outside of the folding wing. Curl the tip at the bottom slightly. In the shape of the parrot’s wing, draw a series of short J-shaped lines to model the feathers.
Step 12:
Draw the rainbow lorikeet’s first foot around the short guide line below the body and to the right. Curve the lines for the toes. At the top, draw a series of short strokes for the feathered base of the bird’s leg. Add a curved, pointed shape at the tip of the toe to create a nail. Add another toe on the left using a curved line.
Step 13:
Use the line on the left as a guide to draw the other leg in the same way. Draw the thin shapes of the lorikeet’s feet and toes around the guides. On the inside of the foot, draw another toe. Draw a short, pointed shape on the tip of the bird’s toe for the nail. Add short strokes at the top for the feathers.
Step 14:
Use the starting shapes to create the body of the rainbow lorikeet. Add some curves to the body to make the hair on the chest. Darken the outer edges of the guides on the right and left to add to the body shape of this Australian parrot. Step 15:

Use yellow-green color for a small part of the neck. Color the bird’s wings and tail green. Color the right edge of the chest yellow. Use orange for the rest of the chest, beak, eyes and a bit of the legs. Use gray for the feet. Gradually start adding darker versions of the base color.
Use dark blue for the bird’s head and lower half of the body. Press the pencil a little harder to blend the colors. Use dark blue on the edges of the lorikeet’s wing and tail feathers. Use dark red for the feathers on the chest and a little for the beak. Use dark red for the eyes. Add orange and yellow to the top of the beak to make it shiny. Add darker versions of all the other base colors. Use dark red for the chest and dark blue for the wings and tail of this Australian parrot. Coloring like this can be time consuming, so be patient and take breaks.

Step 1
Start by drawing a long, narrow rectangle. Use two long parallel horizontal lines and two short vertical lines. This shape forms the foundation of the building.
Step 2
Place another rectangle on top of the narrow rectangle. Draw a long line parallel to the rectangle and connect the shapes using two vertical lines. This forms the front wall of the building.
Step 3
Build a trapezoid just above the top of the wall. Then, connect the lower corners of the trapezoid to the upper corners of the wall. This forms the roof of the school.
Step 4
Draw a narrow, horizontal rectangle overlapping the eaves. This will form the bottom part of the overhang. From the overhang, extend four sets of straight, vertical, parallel lines downward. Center lines must extend to the end of the school and outside lines must extend to the outside of the school’s foundation. Then, enclose each set of lines by drawing a small rectangle. These lines form columns that support the overhang.
Step 5
Erase guides from overhangs.
Step 6
Place a rectangle above the overhang, with a smaller rectangle inside. Then, place a large triangle above the rectangles and draw a smaller triangle inside it. This completes the roof of the overhang. Erase guide lines as necessary.
Step 7
Enclose a rectangle extending up from the foundation, between the columns. Then, draw two parallel, narrowly spaced, vertical lines in the middle of the rectangle. This forms the door of the school. Draw a narrow, horizontal rectangle across the top of the door. Next, draw multiple windows of the field. For each window, use three lines to enclose a square, leaving the top exposed. Enclose the top with a curved line, creating an arched window. Draw a pair of perpendicular lines through each window.
Step 8
Draw a clock inside the triangular top of the overhang. Begin by drawing a circle, with a “V” shaped line inside to represent the hands of a clock. Then, write “SCHOOL” on the front of the overhang.
Step 9
Detail the roof with straight horizontal lines. Draw a horizontal line just above the roof and connect it to the corners of the roof using short lines. Draw horizontal lines extending from each side of the field to indicate the horizon, and a pair of diverging diagonal lines to create a path to the front door of the field.
Step 10
Color your school. In our example, we made it yellow with a brown roof. You can make the school out of red bricks, white painted wood or any other color you like.

To begin this tutorial on how to draw a piano, we will start from the top of the piano. First, you can start by drawing a music stand.
This is a small panel in the middle of the piano that the player can place his music on while playing.

Step 1
Start by drawing a circle. This will form the caterpillar’s head.
Step 2
Draw a smaller shape overlapping the first shape. It should be round but uneven. Then, draw a third circle overlapping the second. They form the first segments of the caterpillar’s body.
Step 3
Delete the paths from the circle.
Step 4
Draw another circle overlapping the last one, creating another segment.
Step 5
Draw another, smaller circle, overlapping the previous one, creating another segment.
Step 6
Draw another, much smaller circle overlapping the last segment. This can be thought of as the caterpillar’s tail.
Step 7
Remove guide lines from paragraphs.
Step 8
Add features to your caterpillar. Draw whiskers on top of the head. For each antenna, extend a curved line upward from the top of the head. Fold it in half, enclosing a circle at the top. Then, reconnect the line to the head. Next, draw two small triangles extending from each front part of the caterpillar. These are the caterpillar’s legs.
Step 9
Give your caterpillar a smiling face. Use a wide “U” shaped line for the mouth, with small curved lines at each end. Draw two ovals to form the eyes. Within each eye, enclose two smaller ovals. The shadow between them, forms the pupil. Draw a curved shape above each eye using two lines, indicating eyebrows.
Step 10
Color your caterpillar. What color should he choose? Caterpillars truly come in every color you can imagine. Inchworm caterpillars are bright green, while Monarch caterpillars are black and yellow. Others are yellow, red, orange or white.
